The most important thing is the good coffee it produces without burning it. Maybe a little experimentation is needed with the grinding of the coffee and the tamping in order for it to flow at the right speed. Frothing milk is a process that requires minimal technique and there are some tips such as the temperature of the milk, the fat content, etc. The noise is of moderate intensity, definitely not silent, especially when certain parts of the machine are being coordinated. Overall, for home use and considering the cost, it is a fair choice.
Decent machine, tolerable taste, terrible coffee body. I've owned it for a month and all the coffees come out watery. I haven't tried frothed milk. The negative is that it leaves a lot of coffee at the extraction point even if you let it run. It needs cleaning after every brew. I wouldn't choose it again
It makes good coffee BUT the "handle" that the coffee goes into is of very poor quality. It is not stainless steel, resulting in rusting. Within 4 months.
When unscrewing the plastic to clean inside, the handle that the coffee goes into is filled with rust. (The coffee passes through there).
Even if you want a replacement, you can't find it anywhere, resulting in it being thrown away.
It is a very good and powerful machine! It makes good coffee with rich crema and a strong aroma and flavor. With the 20 bar pressure it works with, it has no problem handling a large amount of coffee in the portafilter. Coming from a well-known and much more expensive brand, this was a daily issue. It would clog up and not extract with the slightest problem. It takes about 1 minute to warm up. In conclusion, it is very good for its price and can make a very nice coffee for you to enjoy at home!
Owner of this machine for about half a month, I have to say the following: I had never dealt with a similar machine in the past, but I am a coffee lover. What made me buy it is that it has 20 bars and separate buttons for coffee options. Single dose, double dose, activation deactivation, and a nozzle for frothing milk. When you press for a single or double dose, it stops pouring coffee on its own, you don't need to press anything, just on the nozzle, and of course on the third button, which pours as much as you want, it is probably for a light coffee. Easy access to water for filling, it has a metal top so you can leave the cups on top to keep them warm until it turns on. I use ready-packaged coffee from supermarkets, Lavazza and Dimelo, and even though I am not familiar with coffee production, it has not come out burnt or with a bad taste so far, of course, I clean it immediately after each coffee and let hot water run after production. I watched several videos on YouTube and now I drink great coffee!!! No comparison to cappuccino at least with the corresponding capsules I have tried. Negatives, I haven't found any, and definitely I am not knowledgeable enough to see them. Definitely a nice and honest choice. And one more thing, when it finishes pouring coffee, leave it for a bit, don't take the handle out immediately.
I have changed at least 4 machines.
This machine makes the best coffee I have ever tasted.
It has a patent on the stainless steel filter, which, while like the others, has many small holes to filter the coffee, then it goes to a space (0.5-1cm) and comes out from a small hole, resulting in the best foam ever.
The pressure is really 20 bar with a measurement at the nozzle.
I have had it for 6 months, purchased for 67€, but it stopped working from the following week.
Imagine that I have seen it for over 170€ at times.
It needs to be cleaned once every three months with white vinegar.
It is the only home use machine that can handle Greek coffee (which is ground like flour) without getting clogged at all...
In fact, the one in the photo is Greek coffee that my son drank a sip of to taste... (the foam was more than what you see)
Unbelievable filtering, unbelievable power, unbelievable result.
Indeed, it makes a bit of noise (like all machines) and it takes about 90 seconds to heat up and start.
For the milk frother, we first make the coffee and then the frother, differently from the high pressure that develops (If you make the frother first, it burns the coffee...)
I highly recommend it as the best among all, regardless of the price.
P.S. (I don't mention Italian brands of machines that I have used at times for obvious reasons)
Fantastic coffee maker. The coffee retains its aroma and is strong. It is very easy and fast. It also froths milk! From my calculations, it will pay for itself in about 15 days from what I used to spend on orders!
I used to order 2 espressos every day, but times are tough and I decided to buy a machine. I make 2 coffees every morning in three minutes, very easily. It's very cost-effective. I haven't tried the frother, so I don't have an opinion.
Good construction, makes great coffee, has plenty of pressure, makes froth, overall, so far, in the 2 weeks that I have it, everything is good and I am satisfied.
I don't have any particular experience, but the construction of the machine is very high quality. It does its job, it makes espresso as it should. For such a price, I believe it is a very good purchase.
I expected something better, the amount of water is large and it comes out very quickly, resulting in many bubbles. It makes foam easily with little effort, and the construction is quite good! If you have high demands, get something else, but if not, it's enjoyable.
As a beginner, I have to say that it is a very good machine, it makes nice coffee with a filter, generally easy to use although the instruction book is a bit incomplete... I deduct one star because I still haven't managed to make frothy milk.. Definitely good value for money...
I have bought two other Cecotec espresso machines, I gave one as a gift (very noisy) and the other one I have in my village (too much water in the coffee, doesn't stop at the right moment). They all have the same bars, same style, and more or less the same price. This particular one is not something extraordinary compared to the others, but it does the same job with less noise, in a better time, and I don't waste coffee for water overflow. The milk frother needs a specific product for it to come out good, and I don't use it because it's not worth it. I am satisfied.
5 months after use and I still haven't managed to make a good froth. Other than that, it's worth its money. Very good construction and very good foam in the espresso
