  Good quality and sturdy clothesline.
  And because all these white ones (whether balcony or floor) usually turn yellow when they are permanently on the balcony, I simply put a cloth on it and secure it with clothespins (I saw it on the opposite balcony and did it myself) or I collect them when they are empty of clothes and when I hang them, I wipe them with a damp cloth. Oh, and you also avoid pigeon droppings...
  Note: It may go slightly diagonally high by adjusting the arms if you have it from the inside like me, in order to hang larger towels, for example, and not have them touch the ground.

  After so many years, it must be at least a decade, maybe even more, and after the last 2 years, 4 wires for hanging have gone, it was time to change it in the sun, in the rain, and in all weather conditions, winter - summer.   We have bought three of these in the last few years. The "ropes" are made of aluminum and are at least 3 times thicker than regular clotheslines. They withstand much more than the others! Usually, our clotheslines would start losing strings within the first three months, while these take 2-3 years to lose the first one! In the end, it is more cost-effective than the simple ones!
  Also, we haven't managed to break its plastic parts yet!
