It is an opportunity for all fans to play the remastered version because it is the full edition of the game and all related aspects are good, now the graphics continue to not be so well upgraded
Luckily, I didn't pay to get it as a standalone game, luckily!! It came for free with the season pass of Odyssey that I bought on sale for €20. I played it on the PS3 in 2013 and back then it was an amazing game in terms of the combat system, parkour, etc. It was an improvement compared to the second game. Now it's just... mediocre and honestly, I don't understand the addition of "remastered" in the title. They slightly improved the graphics and that's it. Even now, it has many, many bugs! Not to mention that in order to see the optional objectives in the main missions, you have to pause the game. And there are missions that have a time limit, and even though the main objective changes, it doesn't give you any message about what to do for the optional objectives, and you end up loading the last save! As for the weapons, you randomly pick them up and then you lose your own...!!!!
Regarding the optional objectives, having played the entire series, everything that has been released so far + DLC, I have two things to say: thankfully they removed them, thankfully, and the purpose of the developers was not to add difficulty to the game but to frustrate the players. I can't find any other reason for the existence of such ridiculous optional objectives...
In conclusion, the game was really good when it was released, now it's just terrible and I regret playing the remastered version. One of my favorite games is ruined, in the end, some things should just be remembered as they were when you first played them.
Very long prologue but with a very interesting story and music, combat is very easy, visually nothing special... had the potential to be great but Ubisoft's execution was disappointing... the prologue really tires the player and you can't wait for it to end so you can play with Connor
The story was quite interesting, the character very likable, the graphics average, the bugs were manageable (swords and guns flying in the air), but the missions were UNACCEPTABLE. In order to achieve 100% synchronization, you had to complete the most idiotic optional objectives ever seen in a game. Especially the naval battles are the most tragic if you want to finish it 100%. Look it up on the internet, almost everyone gave up on it because of 2 or 3 specific missions. Such a shame, as it had the potential to be one of the best in the series. Get it just to have the whole collection and finish it, don't even bother trying for platinum and 100%.
Although I got it for free, as I am the owner of the AC Odyssey Gold Edition, the game is quite boring and cannot interest me. The characters are very ugly and poorly made, as if they should have been fixed as remastered, the gameplay is pointless, you can kill the opponent "playing with your elbow", the story is mediocre, I don't know if it's worth someone buying it...
Although AC3 is not one of the best AC games, this particular remaster is just a cash grab. It's truly unacceptable for a game released in 2012 to have frame drops on the PS4. It's just an excuse for a remaster.
They have simply changed the resolutions to make it look newer, but there has been no effort to improve the graphics. The character faces are borderline terrifying, while bugs and frame drops dominate. After 5 hours, I couldn't handle the frames dropping to 10-15 and it becoming borderline unplayable.
The first AC game I played many years ago on the PS3. I loved it back then, but I don't know if it's worth buying now since there are many more advanced games out there and it might seem somewhat outdated. I only recommend it if you're a fan of the series and haven't played it when it first came out.
Before I bought it, I loved it, I searched for it a lot and watched all the story from YouTube and the reviews seemed perfect, but when I bought it and played it, I saw that it has so many bugs. When you finish it, you will definitely get bored, the story is so-so, I was disappointed because I knew what would happen at the end of the game and more. If I hadn't seen it on YouTube, I would have had a different opinion, I believe, but for a remastered version, the only thing that has improved is the graphics, which are incredible now. For the price of 20 euros, I think you could spend it on another Assassin's Creed game like Black Flag, Unity, or Odyssey, which also cost 20 euros
Nice game with a wonderful plot and essentially it is the conclusion and completion of the Assassin's Creed series (in my opinion). The only thing that bothered me, and I hope those who see it don't make the same mistake as me, is that it is not a remastered version. If you don't believe me, check here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rStuw_U38G8 and you will understand what I mean. It is better for anyone who hasn't played it to try the pure and original AC3. Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered is a good game, the nice thing is that it includes two games to play plus all the DLCs. The costumes from other games are also nice. Overall, for me, it is a good remastered game.
