High-yield toners generally have the same size and shape as standard yield toners, but they have more graphite powder packed in them. This means that a high-yield toner cartridge prints more pages before needing replacement, resulting in a lower cost per page.

Toners that fall under Lexmark's return program are printing toners sold at a reduced price, in exchange for the customer agreeing that the cartridges will be used only once and returned only to Lexmark for remanufacturing or recycling.
