37 degrees in winter and 41 in summer without AC in the room, I have been cooling it constantly and quietly for 1 year with the 5900X!
Currently, I have it running silently on a Ryzen 7 2700x and it doesn't understand a thing, and I play for several hours. The only negative thing I found is that if you want to put a static image on the screen, it flickers. Of course, this has been intentionally done to prevent burn-in due to OLED.
I have it installed on an 18-core Intel Core i9 10980XE (4.6GHz). It performs amazingly well during long gaming sessions... you can't even hear it even after many hours of continuous high-demand gaming... and when it does ramp up at some point, it's only for a short while.
Very good cooling for closed type and for something quick in cooling. It could have been cheaper and not so expensive. As for the program it has inside for handling it, it doesn't suit me like it did for some others who had mentioned it.
Impeccable in everything or rather not in everything..... The Armoury Crate program, which is for its management, is downright garbage, which means that there is a liquid cooling with many parameters but you can't do anything because the program constantly crashes. I would give it three stars, but it's a shame for this liquid cooling... Come on, Asus.
18/04/21 With the latest update, all issues have been resolved and it works perfectly. Of course, now it deserves 5 stars!
I upgraded after 4 years a Corsair H100i V1 with a push-pull configuration with 4 Corsair ML120 PRO fans, which kept a 5930k "cool" at 4.4GHz (29-55C). In full-load situations (Vray Render), the fans made quite a bit of noise, but I never saw temperatures above 50C on any of the Cores. Most of the time, I worked with headphones and music, so the noise issue didn't bother me. In games, the fan speeds didn't increase much because this particular processor didn't reach 60-70% usage, so the fans didn't go above 30-40%. But again, this didn't bother me because I still played with headphones.
Switching to the Ryujin 360 with its "awesome" Noctua fans (industrial ppc), you can't hear anything up to 80% from a distance of 33-40 inches from the case (note: the system is on an open Core P5 case that doesn't block any sound). However, I noticed that the average temperature dropped to 25-45C, and if I don't render (Vray), it doesn't go above 40% with the default settings.
Due to using an open case, there is no airflow, and the room temperature is used for the chipset and VRM. With the integrated fan on the pump (CPU) that the Ryujin offers working at a maximum of 45%, the temperature of the X99 motherboard's VRM dropped by 15-25C and the chipset by 7-10C.
Pros:
1) Beautiful and voluminous pump with an OLED display on top.
2) Integrated fan on the pump for cooling the VRM.
3) Braided sleeving on the tubes.
4) The longest tubes I've seen on an AIO. Long enough to fit an AIO in a Core P5.
5) Top-of-the-line Noctua fans, quiet with a high CPM.
Cons:
1) The Asus management software (Armoury Crate) freezes more than a two-component adhesive. Frustrating! Patience is required; you choose the effects you want and never open it again!
2) The Noctua fans are impressive in performance but look very unattractive. Yes, they are finally black, but they have serial numbers on the sides, and their plastic is of low quality.
3) The integrated fan on the pump becomes annoyingly loud if it goes above 40% (although it never needs to go above 40% under normal conditions).
