It has a nice taste, whether you drink it with milk or with water. It is economical compared to other products of similar quality. It has a notification number from EOF, which is the safest quality certification for dietary supplements. It is a Greek product.
I found it quite affordable, and the protein content per 100g seemed quite good, so I preferred it since they sell it in pharmacies and this particular company was also a sponsor of AEK, so it can't be something low quality or dangerous. Solubility is good, taste is good... generally, I only drink whey protein, and specifically, I start it about 3 months before summer until September, and then I stop again and just try to get some protein from food and do a bit of light exercise at home for maintenance until March or April when I will buy powder again and do more intense workouts (always at home, with bands, straps, weights, bar, pull-up bar, slam ball, kettlebell, boxing bag, mat) for summer. I think it's a good way for someone who gets a bit bored with the whole routine continuously but wants to have a nice body without extremes... also, it's good when you reach the point where you want to stop the powder and get protein from food because, as much as you might say, "it's just protein," it still is processed synthetic.
I used chocolate and vanilla.
The solubility is satisfactory. It needs a strong shake, and there are always protein clumps at the bottom of the glass.
The taste is decent for both chocolate and vanilla, UNDER THE CONDITION that it is mixed with milk. With water, the taste is quite indifferent.
Similarly in digestion. It left me with a few 'bubbles' even though I am not particularly sensitive. My wife, who tried it, did not drink it again due to bloating.
Comparatively, Lamberts Performance Whey Protein is two levels above in taste, solubility, performance, and digestion (my wife was impressed by the taste and intestinal tolerance).
In conclusion, for economic reasons, it is a solution.
In other cases, prefer others.
I wanted to find a protein within the price range of MyProtein, which I wouldn't have to wait for sales and 2 weeks to receive. I have now bought My elements (vanilla and chocolate) 3 times.
- 23.1g of protein per scoop (30g) (as shown in the nutritional value in the photo)
- It is "enhanced" as it says, with vitamins and amino acids (BCAA), something that most proteins in this price range don't have or sell separately.
- It is sold in pharmacies, so I assume it has gone through several certifications and controls, which personally I choose to trust.
- I have tried it with water, milk, yogurt, in pancakes, and in cakes. I had no issues with solubility with any of these combinations. Just one observation, it says it needs 200ml of water, and personally even 200ml seems like a lot to me, as it makes it quite diluted. I dissolve it in a regular cup with a lid and 200ml is literally two sips, so even if it created lumps (which it doesn't for me), you wouldn't even notice them. After all, in the end, do you consume protein for the taste and texture or for its substance and what it offers?
- It doesn't bloat me, while MyProtein's impact and isolated soy protein immediately and for hours made me feel bloated. Also, both of them required much more than 200ml of water or milk. Based on what I read, I consider that a protein's composition will "sit well" with your body.
It is beneficial, very healthy, compared to other more economical options, with a nice taste.
However, the giant drawback is that it does not dissolve and causes constipation. Whether in very hot water or in warm milk, it simply causes bloating. In fact, when I do abdominal exercises, my stomach tightens even more and the condition worsens. Even 2 Dulcolax, which I take, barely help me go to the bathroom. And we are talking about just 10 grams per workout, not daily, while the dosage is 30 grams.
Excellent solubility and quite digestible. I was skeptical mainly because it was one of the cheapest on the market, but so far it seems to be very value for money.
EDIT: The above applies to the delicious chocolate flavor. Recently, I also tried the vanilla, which is significantly worse in terms of solubility.
I see different opinions, so let me share my personal opinion.
First of all, it doesn't dissolve easily, I need to warm up the milk for it to dissolve and even then, it's not easy. However, the taste is very good for my liking. Also, I haven't experienced any gas or bloating. It's normal to have a small bloating when you take it with milk. Now, since I've been using it for almost a month, I don't know what results I will have, I will come back with a second review in the future.
For now, with 4 to 5 moderate intensity workouts and heavy work, I probably have avoided some muscle injuries, the future will show.
Personally, it has been a short period since I got it... I don't have any specific problem, whether it's with gas or something else... It is very pleasant with milk because it is chocolate... and also with water... However, it requires a lot of shaking to dissolve well inside...
By what criteria do you evaluate a whey protein as good or not? I have tried 2-3, except for one that was not digestible, their results are more or less the same.
Very good protein! If you use it correctly, it helps you. That is, consumption after intense training. I haven't used many proteins and I'm not from the field, even though I use exclamation marks! (How strange in our days...)
Very nice taste and solubility. I like that it doesn't feel heavy in the stomach LIKE other similar products and it contains many vitamins and minerals. I recommend it!
I use it for muscle recovery after training as I exercise 5 times a week. High purity protein with essential trace elements and minerals. It dissolves very easily and has a fantastic taste. I highly recommend it!!
I started consuming this specific protein after the advice of my trusted pharmacist, whom I have been relying on for years. Although I have been exercising for years, I hesitated to use a protein supplement for some reason! I believed that I wouldn't like the taste because I don't drink milk, etc., but this one is nice even with water after the workout. I believe it is important to consume such supplements after consulting a pharmacist and from reliable companies for sure.
Protein with excellent chocolate flavor! Light on the stomach, suitable for a mid-meal, I recommend it for after the gym. I also noticed that myelements sports is a supplier of AEK
I bought the whey protein from myelements because my trainer recommended me to buy a pure protein for intake after training. After a search, I chose this one because it is a product from Greece and it is also a sponsor of AEK. I thought that if professional athletes take it, it must be of high quality, and in the end, I was proven right for my choice. The product is very good in taste and I have clearly noticed more strength and endurance in the group programs I follow. I will also try the vanilla flavor at some point.
I tried it at the Marathon expo and have been using it consistently ever since. High purity and a very enjoyable taste that you don't get tired of even if you use it twice a day. Whey gains!
A clean protein with very good taste, balanced nutritional profile, and easily soluble. I replaced a protein from a well-known company with myelements' protein and I am very satisfied. I highly recommend it.
