  I have worn this one and from Meindl the Burma, the Vacuum, and now the Island Light. Main use is hunting, not on hard ground (rocks). To start, I will say that the Grisport 11603 has by far the best Vibram sole of the above models. It is not enough for a shoe to have Vibram; the specific model of Vibram it uses also matters. This particular one was the most slip-resistant I have worn and stopped even on the slickest surfaces. In size, they are relatively large. They quickly adapt to the shape of the foot, and I ended up wearing them with regular socks. If the leather doesn't get scratched, it keeps the water out... but with the first scratches, a slight moisture begins (in this respect, the Meindl excel, all the above models). It has a better fit. However, it suffers at the collar height, where the Meindl are also better. The collar frayed first. It does not have foam material and generally reduces comfort a bit, which is still almost excellent overall. I did about 1400 km with these shoes until the sole came off, having paid for themselves and more. I would give 4 stars, but the price is so competitive that I give 5. If it had a collar like the Meindl and stayed waterproof for longer, I would say it is simply the best boot.

  Every five years I buy a pair, I wear them from September to May every day all day and in the summer on excursions in the mountains. Equally good for daily activities up to the ascent of Taygetus even to Mytikas of Olympus. A pair of shoes that I only take off when I sleep and in the summer when I go to the sea and not to the mountains.

  I've had them for two weeks, I'll start with the positives: they fit nicely on the foot, they're comfortable, they have excellent walking support, they don't slip. As for whether they are waterproof, I'll get back to that!!! But man, in just two weeks the Vibram logos have come off... It's like buying Lacoste and the crocodile logo comes off!!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE... I'm so disappointed!!!!

  In the positives, they are comfortable and hold the foot well. In the negatives, they are not waterproof. They get damp after 2 to 3 hours, specifically when used for hunting in the morning chill. Their membrane cannot be compared to Goretex. In my case, one of them gets damp faster. Maybe they are defective. I have had them for 2 months and have worn them 15 times.

  I bought them a month and a half ago, walked about 200 kilometers in Pelion, on difficult, rocky, uphill and downhill paths, crossed streams, in both sunny and rainy weather. Evaluation: They didn't hurt me or tire me. My feet didn't get wet or sweat. I loved them and highly recommend them.

  I bought them in February - March 2021. I wear them daily at work (agricultural work) for about 8-12 hours, during rainy winter days, and on my hikes either on a mountain (rough rocks and climbing) or on a dirt trail in a mountain. I have changed the laces once, while the soles have not completely worn out yet. They are not 100% waterproof, which is understandable, no shoe is. In water, where the height exceeds the shoe, it is logical for it to get wet, but in case it gets wet externally, there is no issue as long as it is still covered by the waterproof membrane (this of course depends on the amount of water that will fall on the outside). At the point where the sole connects to the rest of the shoe, there will be partial detachment after a long time (in some areas), but this does not affect the shoe or its use. My size is 45-46, and I chose these in size 46. I have added extra insoles and they fit me fine. It is a quite comfortable boot, a bit heavy of course (depending on each person's preference), in the last 2 months I would say it tires me a little due to the worn-out sole. Of course, I would buy it again and I will!

  Well. The shoes are extremely comfortable in the sole (size 45) and slightly tight around the ankle. The laces have a very good tightening, they don't loosen at all and the tongue is attached to the rest of the shoe. It is also COMPLETELY waterproof. I mean, nothing gets through! I walked a kilometer with water up to and above the ankle and it didn't notice anything!

  In the cold, it has no problem, I tested it at -10 degrees immersed in snow and with a thick sock I didn't feel the cold at all. On the other hand, in hot weather after 8 hours of hiking in Mount Olympus (with very rough terrain in some areas), my foot was completely dry, meaning it breathes very well (the shoe...). Finally, the sole is 10/10, the most comfortable I have ever walked in and completely slip-resistant. That's it.

  *Also, because I have it in olive color, it is slightly darker than the photo.
