For the past 3 decades, I have replaced the heating system in my house with electric heaters. It is the cheapest way to heat with electricity, and under certain conditions, it can be the cheapest heating method.
The way a halogen heater works is as follows: a wire made of tungsten, several meters long (depending on the thickness of the wire used), is supplied with electricity at both ends, causing it to heat up. The repeated process of heating and cooling eventually causes the wire to break after a few hundred cycles. To extend the lifespan of the wire, it is coiled and placed inside a glass tube. Instead of using regular sand that would break after a few cycles, the tube is made of halogen, which is much more durable. However, if the halogen heater is accidentally hit while it is generating heat, there is a possibility that the wire will break immediately.
Conclusion: It doesn't matter if you spend 10 or 100€ on a heater... when the bulb burns out, it burns out.
For heating my house, I have 10 heaters that cost 10€ each, like the Esperanza, Mistral, and Conceptum models. I only use the top bulb, which is connected to a dimmer to reduce the consumption from 400 watts to 200 watts and prolong the lifespan of the bulb. The bathroom and kitchen each have one heater, while the two bedrooms, living room, and hallway have two heaters placed in opposite corners. When all of them are turned on together, they consume 2000 watts. From one end to the other, the house becomes warm (from 18°C to 24°C) in 20 minutes! In terms of energy efficiency (insulation), my house is neither the best nor the worst. If I keep them on for 24 hours, it will cost me 0.10€ x 48kWh = 4.80€, while the realistic daily cost does not exceed 1€ as they are in a controlled environment - a smart home that can be turned on before I arrive and automatically turn off based on different scenarios.
Why did I buy this heater:
1) It is easy to fix or replace compared to the other heaters I have.
2) It heats up the air more than objects like the floor or the body of the heater.
3) It has the option for better heat distribution by placing 3 low-speed, ultra-quiet 12cm fans underneath.
4) The purchase price is 9.72€ for 3x500=1500 watts, which is cheaper than the inferior ones I have.
5) The above reasons can help reduce my heaters from 10 to 6, saving space, outlets, and RF noise.
6) The replacement will be done gradually without any pressure, maintaining the balance between heating and cost.
5 stars for value for money and efficient operation.
P.S.: The heater may be labeled as Kumtel on the packaging. Whatever it says, it doesn't matter because they all come from the same factory, so they have the same quality and features.
Stay away from this specific heater.
It's the second time I tried to plug it in at work and it burned out immediately, causing a problem with the main power supply. I still have issues with the power supply to my computer, internet, etc.
Don't make the mistake of buying it. Stay away!
Very good and efficient, with only one drawback being the lack of a thermostat. However, in most cases, this may not be a problem since it is possible to select operation at 500 or 1000 or 1500 W through the switches it has
This particular heater is undoubtedly powerful and cheap in terms of its purchase, but it has the classic problem that all quartz heaters face; as is known, it is certain that at some point the wire burns out (relatively quickly).. unfortunately, this happened to me (with use of half an hour daily) in just the 2nd week, resulting in only 1000w remaining, and after 2 months the 2nd 500w burned out as well, so now only the last one remains. It is important to know that with quartz heaters, if there is a bump, a fall, etc., the countdown begins and shortly thereafter the modest ceremony takes place..
Terrible, as soon as I tried to plug it in, it tripped the main power. I tried again and the same thing happened! Unfortunately, I saw the reviews late where others mention the same problem
For the money it costs (around 13 euros), it's a one-way purchase. Excellent performance for a studio or bedroom. It smells a bit (on the high scale) but as soon as I bought it, I don't know if it will smell with every use, but even if it does, I consider it tolerable.
For a quick and makeshift heating solution in a moderately insulated house, it seems like a very good purchase.
In terms of quality, you don't expect miracles in its price category, although I think even stoves of much higher value are not necessarily better. Time will tell its durability and the electricity savings it offers, as many who bought it claim. 5/5 seemingly.
Powerful hail stove warms a room of 15sqm comfortably. However, it has a small cable and requires an extension cord.
It heats a small space. Ideal for mornings when we need to get ready for work. Easy to transport.
I'm shocked... this little thing is a gem! It heats up the room immediately, and it's very easy to transport because it's super lightweight! I highly recommend it! It does a better job than larger (bulkier) heaters with the same wattage.
For under the desk, for the legs, it is ideal, maybe even excessive. I have it on the first step (one lamp) and I enjoy it!
After a few months of use, without working many hours, without any damage/drop, one of the two on/off switches broke. I unscrewed it and it cannot be fixed, it is a one-time use device.
