I really didn't like the frequent camera switching at all. It completely ruins the immersion, especially when it switches to side-scrolling, it reminded me of games from previous decades.

Fast-paced battle system, incredible character developments, and a very unique, philosophical, and dark storyline and concept in general. Also, one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard. The graphics may not blow you away, but they were very beautiful.
I know in the A ending you might say "What?? That's it??" but give it time, especially in the second playthrough, and then the story starts to unfold.

After I saw that it becomes open world, to tell the truth, I was disappointed, but as I progressed in the game and saw the various endings (like the last one, which made me wonder what the people behind it were thinking), the depth and the incredible music made me connect with the game like no other. It's not just a game, it's an experience. Once you finish it, don't leave the game, spend time with it.
I have no words. I didn't let go of the controller for 3-4 consecutive days, except for eating and basic needs. Amazing game. When it came out, I didn't have time to play it. It's a game that makes you think and moves you. I don't think any review can fully cover it, and it would be best to play it without knowing anything. Go in blind. The experience it will leave you with is indescribable. Maybe among the top 10 games I've played in my 25 years of life. It's not a game you play for 1-2 hours, but you invest time to explore everything it has to offer. The game itself tells you what to do and when, so don't search anything on the internet because even the slightest information will spoil what happens in the future. Just wonderful, please, whenever you have 30-50 hours of your life to spare, choose to dedicate them to this game. I would say the overall experience it personally offered me is comparable to games like Red Dead Redemption 2. Titles that leave you with a life experience from the lessons they offer to the player and the overall experience. Again, please buy it, it doesn't cost anything and it's truly wonderful. I won't say anything more because the less you know, the more you will enjoy it.
One negative aspect, even though I have the game on disc. The game froze a total of 6-10 times in my 50 hours of playtime, showing a blue screen on my PS4 slim with the "ce-34878-0 error" message. I just mention it because it's annoying for a game that requires manual saving to freeze relatively often, at least for me.
In the positives, besides the whole game and its exceptional sound, in the packaging of the Game of the Yorha edition, you can turn the cover upside down and it becomes like the photos I have provided, which is extremely beautiful. Additionally, the Game of the Yorha edition includes additional accessories that enhance the beauty of the character you play, it has a whole DLC with story and missions, and of course, it also has costumes that completely change your character.

It doesn't have jaw-dropping graphics, but they are not bad at all, especially when combined with the perfect art design, the result is beautiful. The voice acting is very good, both in Japanese and English. The storytelling and the world that Yoko Taro has built are incredible... my only complaint is that in Automata, it doesn't delve deep into the characters, instead using them as pawns to convey other things, unlike Nier Gestalt/Replicant, which is very character-based when it comes to the story.
Speaking as a completionist of the title, it doesn't have boring side quests and the grind is very light. Obtaining a platinum trophy is very easy and enjoyable within a complete playthrough. In contrast to Gestalt/Replicant, which has very tedious and pointless side quests and excessive grind with low drop rates.
And last but not least, the game's music is ENCHANTING, one of the few times I have gone out of my way to listen to a game's OST outside of playing it.

It is an independent sequel to Nier: Gestalt or Nier: Replicant or just Nier (depending on the country you live in), taking place hundreds of years later, and it is not related to the previous game apart from a few Easter eggs. If you haven't played the old one, you're not missing anything.The story takes place in the distant future where, while Earth is recovering from a disaster, it is attacked by aliens. The remaining humans have migrated to the moon and have left the androids to fight off the alien machines in a war that has been going on for many years. I won't say more to avoid spoilers.
Like with Yoko Taro's other games, there are multiple endings, 21 out of 26 of which are joke endings that you achieve by doing illogical things or failing certain events in the story.
IMPORTANT! One thing to note is that the game doesn't end with the first ending. The first ending represents only 1/3 of the game, and the story continues in two other parts. The second part, while similar to the first, has many important differences with significant plot points, and the third part is completely different! Don't make the mistake of stopping after the first credits.The graphics are more than enough for a game of its budget, the frame rate is stable, and the soundtrack is among the best of the last decade. If you're online, it enhances the game in many clever ways, without having multiplayer. Additionally, the game has many clever side quests, and even if you miss one, you have the ability to go back in time and complete it after the first full playthrough.
The game is made by the dream team of Yoko Taro and Platinum Games. The former is famous for Drakengard and the first Nier, which had fantastic story and soundtrack but lacked in gameplay and frames, and the latter for Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, which had elementary story but achieved fantastic gameplay and frame rate. The result has none of the weaknesses of the creators, it is a work of art that you will think about for days and months after finishing it.
