It arrived without instructions - I don't know why - and the store sent them to us electronically via email.
The batteries it requires are rare and expensive (about 4+ euros/piece - you need 3 batteries) in my opinion. It requires 18650 batteries with a "tip" in the front because we bought (extra of course) ones that were flat in the front and it didn't turn on at all, we almost had to go through the return process. We solved the problem with a small piece of aluminum foil. The batteries are rechargeable, which means you also need to buy a charger.
The wireless reception signal is weak and the video/audio has a delay as a first impression, without having tested it enough to see more things.
Used it and we need to subscribe and pay for video storage. The camera is lagging, when the doorbell button is pressed, 90% of the time my phone is not notified, or the other users. The battery does not last long either. Not sure if I would buy again from this store as things are missing from the order like the chime. I am very displeased and disappointed with the device.
I have bought 4 doorbells. The first two were Version 1, which had an SD card but after a while, they would freeze and require a reset.
I bought 2 models with Version 4 that do not support an SD card. Initially, they supported 3 days of storage in the AIWIT cloud. Now, you have to pay (34€ per semester or 35€ per year) and subscribe -per device-. Meaning, I have to subscribe twice in order for both doorbells to store their recordings. Customer support through the android application is laughable at best. They respond with automated answers that are polite, but have no relation to the question you ask.
I have had this product for over 6 months. It is relatively easy to install, the notifications are very prompt, and the batteries last depending on the amount of amps you choose to install. Overall, it is a decent product for its price. Now, as for the cloud, which is the most important part, until recently, the recording and storage duration was 3 days, which was a reasonable margin. However, now in order to be able to record and store videos, you have to pay a subscription using the Aiwit application. In my humble opinion, it is unacceptable to have to pay in order for the machine to do its job.
Well, I installed the doorbell as soon as I received it on July 30, 2021! It easily connected to my 2.4 GHz router. I didn't use batteries, I connected it with a 15-volt transformer to the existing 220-volt line of the old doorbell. There is a delay in the notifications, but it's not the doorbell's fault, it's the Wi-Fi's fault. I changed my router to Vodafone, but it doesn't support 5G. It wouldn't connect to anything on the 2.4 GHz frequency, not even after resetting it. I was ready to throw it away without changing anything, but then I pressed the WPS button and it connected! Now it has immediacy and doesn't freeze, probably because of the good router I have. I have a simple line with 7.4 Mbps in my area (they claim 24 Mbps, but no way - I've tested it!). For its price, it's good! The camera resolution is good, even at night. Don't expect miracles for 35 euros! If you want something better, you have to spend more money! You get what you pay for! When I have more money, I will buy the next model, the V7. I saw that some people have trouble connecting it. Reset the router, or better yet, unplug it from the socket! Press the WPS button and it will work for a while. If not, contact your provider for some router settings that may be needed. In my case, I tried for a whole day, did a reset, and at some point, I pressed the WPS button and it connected! I have also created an account on Awit. We use WPS to avoid typing the password and it works for connecting to Android devices, not iOS
It worked fine..
For 10 days.. as soon as it got wet.. that was it.. it got destroyed
But they had sold it to me as waterproof
So, it was a waste of money
I have been using it for about 4 months.
The batteries need to be charged every day.
The image is slow.
I am generally not satisfied.
I consider it a mistake to have purchased it.
Good camera, problem with the card, it writes and then freezes and needs a reset. I put 6800 mAh batteries for 3 to 5 euros each. They last quite a while, but not 8 months. The app had many upgrades, now it works well. It needs strong WiFi and fast internet. I put a repeater for a 10-meter distance, but it's not enough. It needs something powerful. Also, when you're away, it needs good internet where you are, otherwise, you see a signal that someone passed by much later, and it takes 3-5 minutes to download the video. Why don't they just have a photo option and if you want a video, you can choose? I changed the memory card and it works fine. Despite all this, it needs strong internet and to be close to the modem, at most 5 meters away. That's it...
Unfortunately, it is neither stable nor reliable. What I mean is, on the mobile phone that I connected it to, it crashes once and gives you something like an unanswered call, so if you're not careful, you never open the door! It was also tested on two tablets, and it crashes as if there's no tomorrow, but by the time the application opens, you've already lost the game. In the end, I wouldn't recommend it!
