Ancient thermostat with no ability for adjustments. Well, aren't we talking about recording operating hours and temperature?
As a thermostat, it has great accuracy in temperature readings and no disconnections in wifi. I should note that the wifi is from a router with a Sim card and not a strong signal. The only downside is the app that does not have full customization (you cannot set a daily or weekly program from your mobile, which is important for me). That's why three stars. If remote configuration is not important to you, it is a very good thermostat
Apart from a problem that I will mention below, I am quite satisfied.
I have had the BS-850/KIT thermostat without the boiler for over 3 months and I did not have a wifi thermostat before. I got it because, like in many houses, my thermostat was in an inconvenient place.
The connection is very simple, although I struggled a bit with the bridge.
The indications are accurate.
The communication with the transmitter is perfect and immediate.
The connection to Wi-Fi is quite easy.
The application is very simple, all you have to do is open/close it and set the temperature. The response time is at most 2 minutes, meaning that when I turn on the heating from my phone, the transmitter is updated within 2 minutes, and the same happens when changing the temperature. It does not have the ability to program through the application.
The menu of the transmitter for programming or setting is simple, as long as you know how to read the manual well.
The problem I am facing, and I kindly ask if anyone else is experiencing it, is that every 60 seconds it makes a small TICK. It's like the transmitter is giving a command but it does nothing. And it only happens when the burner is off. That is, when it has reached the temperature and the red light has turned off, or when it is in the OFF mode from the transmitter. As long as the red light is on, you don't hear anything.
I spoke with the company, who were very polite (I should note that I called late in the evening), but they couldn't help me. They suggested that I replace it, but it was not available in stores. It was one of the last pieces, so I ended up keeping it.
The TICK is not annoying, but when there is silence in the house, you can hear it from quite a distance.
I proceeded with the purchase of this specific product with a basic consideration, the ability of the thermostat to be moved to any desired space and for the operation of the burner to be based on the temperature in that specific space without the need for digging, and this is because the previous thermostat (photo) was placed next to the exit door, resulting in the burner igniting every time the door was opened. Another reason is the ability for remote operation, which works flawlessly through the application. The only problem is the installation, which requires knowledge of an electrician and a good reading of the instructions for programming it. From there onwards, it operates flawlessly with great accuracy in temperature indications.
The product is rubbish, it doesn't even have a light to see, and programming is not possible. It is also very expensive and not worth it
At home, the thermostat was placed above the radiator (super smart) and as soon as the burner started, it was the first point to heat up and shut down the burner. It didn't work as a thermostat, we used it as an on/off switch.
I bought the BS-850 for 2 reasons:
1. because it has the detachable part to solve the placement issue
2. for the application and the title "smart"
(1) works satisfactorily. Now the sensor is not above the radiator anymore, but you can move it to another spot or even to another room. The sensor is VERY sensitive. You feel cold and you touch the thermostat to increase the temperature a little, let's say 0.5 degrees, but the sensor already shows 2 degrees more (!) because you lifted it and held it, and you have to increase the temperature threshold even more to make it work, or take it out to the balcony for it to recover. Therefore, you adjust the detachable part and leave it alone to work.
(2) part is a complete disappointment. The application does nothing else but show the current temperature and allow you to adjust the limit to force the burner to open or close. It could let you set programs so that you don't have to do it with the tick-tock on the buttons, but it doesn't allow it. It could show usage statistics so you can understand how much you burn, but it doesn't do it. Poor design that simply proves that they did it just to say "we have an application".
The smart part is simply missing. There is nothing smart about the device. It doesn't connect to any assistant (Alexa, Google Home, Homekit), it doesn't understand when you are at home, it doesn't adapt to your habits, etc. It doesn't do any of the things that truly smart thermostats do.
In short, it is just a PROGRAMMABLE thermostat but not a smart thermostat.
Conclusion:
The ONLY reason to buy it is if you need the detachable part to move the temperature sensor away from the wall. If you don't have such a reason, buy the BS-812, which does the same things at half the price.
I'm coming back after two months. The problem with the wifi not working on the latest android versions, for which I had given a one-star rating, has been resolved. The company provided me with a beta version and now everything works perfectly. The wifi has been working flawlessly for two months without any interruptions in the connection. The device was very easy to install in place of a Siemens analog thermostat and it has been a great help. Congratulations to Olympia Electronics!
I have had it for two months and it works great, both on Apple and Android phones. I should emphasize that I use it for basic functions without daily, weekly, etc. programs. I was away from home for 20 days and adjusted it daily accordingly. Satisfied for now
One star only because I bought it around the 9th month of 2021, if I'm not mistaken, and I found out that the device, after the update to Android, doesn't support WiFi from the moment I got it on my phone, meaning it's useless. After contacting them via email, they told me that they will fix the problem in November by releasing a new version (update) that will be more complete and comprehensive because now, on my tablet, which is the only device that works, it only has the ability to increase or decrease the temperature without the daily, weekly, etc. settings... Now it's January 22nd, 2022, and still nothing. The last update was almost 3 years ago... Can you believe it? Other programs update regularly...
Other than that, it's very good. I have no complaints about other issues... I just wanted to support a Greek product...!
For ten months now, the wifi on their mobile phone has not been working. I have called numerous times and they tell me that they will fix it, but it still doesn't work for the reason I bought it
The thermostat is garbage. I bought it in 2018 and it only worked for two years before completely stopping. It's not worth the money, I bought it for 100 euros back then
I have Android 11. The app crashes on me. When you call the company, they politely tell you that the update will be done by the evening. This issue has been going on for 2 months based on the comments I see. It's a shame because the whole system is excellent, but the main function of the WiFi doesn't work. Another time I regret supporting a Greek company
It works very well and when there was a glitch with the application, the response from the company was immediate and the problem was resolved. We support Greek products when they are also of good quality.
Unfortunately, I will write about complaints even though I don't want to (Greek product). The WIFI for this year did not work at all. In contact with the company, they keep leading me from one date to another and I can't find a solution. They are also deceiving in emails. Unfortunately!!!!!!
The product is good, but the application is unacceptable. It works whenever it wants and is completely unreliable.

Nice, although I would say the menu is outdated. It has accuracy in temperature as long as we don't hold it in our hands for too long. It has several settings on the main unit (Night mode, timer, away mode, etc). The mobile application did not impress me. It is very basic. Essentially, it only has on/off and temperature adjustment. It does not have a timer or the ability to see in real time if the thermostat is on. If I manually turn off the thermostat, the indication does not change in the application.
Update: Eventually, the indication does change in the application but there is a significant delay.
Update 2: After about a month of use, I have encountered some issues. The most basic one is the mobile application. On a Xiaomi phone with Android 11, the application does not work. Overall, the company needs to put in a lot of work on the application to be considered a worthy product compared to other companies.
It does a very good job and never disconnects, and if it disconnects due to a power outage, it immediately reconnects. The negative aspect is the very difficult menu because it requires intuitive abilities to navigate through it, as well as the menu on the phone which has almost nothing and everything needs to be adjusted from the device.
Having purchased the product for 10 days now, what I have to say is that it is worth its money. Easy installation (even without an electrician). Quick response (I have noticed a delay of maximum 2 minutes in command transmission) of the application.
Unfortunately, I have to rate it with the worst rating because for the past 1-2 years, it hasn't been working for the main purpose I bought it for.
The WiFi.
Whether on a relatively new phone (Xiaomi A3 Android 11) or an old phone (LG G4 - Android 6), the android app crashes or gives an error (certificate expired). Of course, I tried countless uninstallations/clearing cache, etc.
Strangely, it worked on a friend's phone that we tried, as well as on an android emulator. Unfortunately, though, it doesn't work on both of my smartphones.
I waited a long time hoping that the bug would be fixed, but nothing.
Update 5/2022:
Finally, we have an update on the android app and now it works properly.
However, it has a bug that it doesn't remember the login and you have to search for the password every time.
I hope they fix it soon this time.
I have it for a few months. It works perfectly.
My concern was the wireless connection, because there is a large distance and walls between the transmitter and the receiver. It connects perfectly and even has a built-in wireless connection meter, so it shows you in real-time the quality of the connection between the transmitter and the receiver. It's a bit difficult to understand its programming, but there is a Greek manual and once you learn it, it becomes easy.
Otherwise, the others covered me. The thermostat is perfect. I also bought a wired one for another room. It's also perfect.
One last thing, regarding the accuracy of the displayed temperature.
I didn't calibrate it, but guys;
you don't care. Really.
Don't bother.
Find a temperature that you feel comfortable with, and based on that, adjust the others.
Now, if this temperature is real or deviates one degree from reality, you don't really care.
If, for example, the thermostat shows 22 degrees Celsius, and you feel fine, why would you care if in reality, with a super-duper expensive thermometer, it would show that you have 21.2 degrees Celsius?
Everything is relative.
I have had this wireless thermostat for about a month. It is a very reliable product, which is also manufactured in our country by a Greek company. It consists of two separate devices, like all wireless thermostats:
a. The BS-850/R, which is installed in a fixed location and connected via wiring to the boiler (like a traditional thermostat) and to a stable power supply of 220V (not batteries) for its operation. It only has indicator lights.
b. The BS-850/T, which can be placed anywhere (as long as it has wireless contact with the BS-850/R) and operates on batteries. It is the wireless part of the thermostat, with a display showing indications, settings, etc., and it sends commands to the BS-850/R to activate/deactivate the boiler.
Its positives are:
a. Its low price (purchased for 85 euros), which is much lower compared to similar thermostats from major manufacturers.
b. The existence of multiple daily and weekly programming options, as well as various other settings.
c. The presence of adjustable room temperature differential, with a minimum of 0.2 degrees Celsius. This feature is particularly important for those who want to maintain a stable temperature in the room as much as possible. For example, with a desired temperature of 22 degrees and a differential of 0.2 degrees, the thermostat will activate the boiler when the temperature reaches 21.8 degrees. Similarly, with a differential of 0.5 degrees Celsius, the thermostat will activate the boiler when the temperature reaches 21.5 degrees.
Regarding the accuracy of the thermostat's temperature, personally I have not noticed any deviation greater than 0.1 - 0.2 degrees when comparing it with other reliable room thermometers that I have.
If I have to mention any negatives about this product, they would be:
a. The complex menu, which in combination with the number of settings and programming options, makes it somewhat difficult to use, at least in the beginning. However, once the user becomes familiar with it, it's fine. In any case, the product comes with a very detailed operating manual in Greek.
b. The sensitivity of the wireless device to temperature when the user holds it in their hands to make adjustments. Within seconds, it "heats up" and the temperature increases by 1-2 degrees Celsius, showing an incorrect room temperature. However, as soon as the user releases it, after a certain time, it "cools down" and shows the correct room temperature.
c. The limited menu of the Olympia electronics thermostat Android application, through which the user controls the device from a smartphone via home wifi. The user can only activate/deactivate the thermostat, view the room temperature, and adjust the desired temperature, without having access to the programming options and the multitude of other device settings.
2 years of flawless operation without any problems. You can move the thermostat to any point you want as long as it doesn't lose communication with the central unit. The only thing you need to be careful about is not holding it in your hand for too long because it raises the ambient temperature that the sensor reads and takes a while to adjust when you let go of it (5-10 min). Detailed installation instructions and immediate response and customer service from the company. Reconnected quickly to wifi after the summer period when it was disconnected from power. Reliable in remote activation/deactivation from the app, the application never crashed. Several operating programs, but I didn't use them.
I think that the menu is a crossword puzzle for strong solvers. With what others are writing, I'm starting to feel delayed. Otherwise, the thermostat is simply good
I hesitated to buy it as a Greek product. However, it works perfectly the one month I have it in the office. At home, I have the Netatmo, which does the same job for 180 euros, not to mention it has a small bug. The poor Greek from Aegina outperformed him! He gave me a little trouble during the setup, where I had to press a button on the board (ridiculous) to connect, but otherwise, it is very user-friendly and the response to smartphone commands is in seconds. Excellent thermostat! Very easy to connect, as long as you know the basics. It requires three cables to be connected, phase (L), neutral (N), and the return that gives the command to the burner (two returns if you also have a hot water boiler output). The mobile application is very good, although it could have more customization options. As for the temperature indication, it is extremely accurate. I checked it with 4 different precision thermometers, one of which was a meteorological one. The deviation is about 0.1 units, which is absolutely normal and dissipates within a few minutes.

The thermostat shows random readings. At least 3 degrees higher than the other two thermometers I have, which show the same temperature. One digital and one mercury. There is no calibration option.
Very simple application, without programming capabilities.
The temperature synchronizes-updates in the app after about 5 minutes. Terrible performance.
The only positive is the differential, but what good is it if you have 15 degrees inside the house and your thermostat tells you 18.8.
Necessary for spaces where the thermostat needs to be moved and receive readings from other rooms. Easy installation, flawless operation, the ability to program the start of the boiler's operation (very good for professional spaces that are not used 24/7), the ability to activate heating remotely via mobile... Truly a perfect device and of course, I am proud that it is of Greek construction! Bravo to them!
