    Perhaps one of the best mid-range zoom lenses.
    We are using it with Canon R5II, R6, very sharp lens at all focal lengths, very bright, at 28 it has quite a bit of distortion, as well as its weight is a downside, the focus is also not silent and that's understandable because the glass elements are huge and very heavy so forget about having a microphone on the camera if it's for video.
    I've heard something about Sony's equivalent, lighter, silent, and smaller, personally, since I only deal with video and work with Sony systems like FX3, 6, A7SIII, it will be my first choice when it is released.
    So the RF is very expensive, but it is the epitome of automatic zoom lenses so far among all the mounts.
    If you make money from the subject, you have advanced knowledge in photography and video, if you are a perfectionist or if the budget is not an issue for you, just buy it, otherwise, the 24-70mm f/2.8 is also great, which we have used as well.

    The name "beast" is not random. We are literally talking about a beast in the Canon RF series. Quite heavy, with a zoom range that covers most of a photographer's needs, even for full coverage of a mystery. The many hours in hand may be a problem for some.

    Awesome build quality.

    The result, if it reaches the right hands, is magical.

    The price in Greece is a bit prohibitive.

    The photography with the 28-70 is a unique experience. Perhaps the best lens I've ever had!!! The overall weight with the R6 is not discouraging, on the contrary, it gives you a feeling of solidity! Amazing image clarity and sharpness, very beautiful bokeh, of course don't expect to see the creaminess that an 85mm or 50mm at f1.2 leaves. Ideal for fashion and wedding photography. I also benefited from Canon's €200 cash back. The lens is an investment and worth its money.
