Miele cooktops feature a residual heat indicator for each cooking zone. It reminds you not to touch the hot cooking zone and not to place heat-sensitive items on it. Additionally, it allows you to utilize the residual heat and save energy.
Safety Shutdown
Peace of Mind
A maximum operating time is set for each level. When a cooking zone operates at the same power level for an unusually long period of time, it automatically switches off.
Safety and system lock
Safety for everyone
The safety lock prevents accidental adjustments of the settings during cooking.
The system lock protects against accidental or unauthorized activation, e.g., by children. This function can be activated while the device is off.
Overheat Protection and Fault Monitoring
For the longevity of the device
Each cooking zone features overheating protection. With this, the resistance of the cooking zone is automatically turned off in case of excessive use, before the ceramic or other components overheat. If liquid or something else accidentally falls on the surface, the hob is automatically turned off again. This way, you are always protected from accidental setting adjustments.
Stop & Go
Safety advantage
With the Stop&Go function, all cooking zones can be reduced to level one with the touch of a button. This way, the cooktop can be left unattended for a short period without the food overcooking or burning. When you return to the cooktop, all zones are reactivated to their previous level, again with the touch of a button.
Automatic Preheating
It doesn't just save energy
This automatic setting from Miele lowers the heat from its initial level (for quick preheating) to a lower temperature (for continued cooking). This way, you won't forget to lower the heat in time, and the food won't burn. Additionally, it saves energy.
Programmable options
However you need it
The basic hob settings can be adjusted to your personal preferences. For example, the response speed of the touch keys can be modified.
Timer
Makes cooking easier
The cooktop timer helps facilitate everyday kitchen use. For example, depending on the model, you can independently set the duration of the cooking zones to turn off automatically or use the kitchen timer independently of the cooktop functions.
Recall function
Unintentional deactivation is not an issue
Without intending to, you turned off your cooktop, but you realized it immediately. If you restart it within 10 seconds, all the power levels and time settings you previously selected will still be available. Your cooking process continues without interruption.
Independent operation
Its operation is independent, meaning it can function on its own without the need for connection to an oven. This means it can be placed anywhere in the kitchen that suits you best. It is suitable for combination with an above-counter oven, as the oven can be placed anywhere, regardless of the cooktop.
Dimensions & power of cooking zones

Ceramic Cooktop Features
Ceramic cooktops are elegant, efficient, and more economical compared to induction cooktops. The electric heating elements are located beneath the black glass surface, as well as the touch buttons. Ceramic cooktops are installed flush with the countertop and are relatively easy to install.
In their operation, they require some caution because the "burners" remain hot for quite some time after you finish cooking, posing a risk of burns.

Very good quality, I believe Miele is reliable. I hope it proves to be as good over time as my previous appliance (30 years)!!! The only small issue I personally have is that the stove's boundaries are very faint and a bit indistinguishable when they are not lit, so I have to turn on the light of the hood to place the cookware correctly
I bought it 3 years ago and today, on February 25th, 2023, the motherboard broke. A technician came to check it and I paid 44 euros, but he told me that repairing it is not worth it. I don't see a reason to buy Mille again.
I am still trying to understand these stoves after 3 months. At levels 1-2-3, they seem to be off. At level 4, something happens (for light simmering that lasts for hours, of course, and after the food has reached a strong boil at levels 7-8). For sautéing, you need at least level 6 (with level 9 being the strongest). At level 8, you fry, and at level 9, you literally burn things. It's a real disappointment from Miele. I miss the old ones with the button switch. Cleaning them is another bitter story: they NEVER clean completely, even with genuine Miele cleaning products. There are always marks left, even when using the special scraper. And I'm not talking about residues that may be there for weeks! I'm talking about residues from the same day! They always look dirty, with big dull marks around each burner. It's a big disappointment. If I could, I would change them, even though they are fully autonomous and you don't need a Miele kitchen to operate them. When I called Miele to ask about cleaning, they treated me like trash. It should be noted that they scratch very easily because the glass is completely smooth like a mirror and not somewhat "rough" like other companies' glass, which offers some protection against scratches. In other words, it is forbidden to slightly slide the pot to remove it from the burner and place it, for example, on the adjacent burner or to stir it. It's a shame to spend so much money. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I wish there were more detailed reviews here.
Edit: One additional VERY serious negative point to consider is that during cooking (even at low/medium heat, for example, level 4), the entire surface of the stove gets hot, even up to the edge in the silver finish! This makes it very unpleasant to accidentally touch your hand there or even press the touch buttons to change the temperature!
