We come from Izzy Family Grill Ceramic, which burned after 4-5 years of use. We decided to go for something more compact since we rarely used it as a grill or for more than 2 sandwiches.

NEGATIVES
1) The difference in power (from 2100W with Izzy to 1000W now) is evident in the speed, but it hasn't bothered us. It melts cheese nicely. We always use it at max.
2) The back side cooks more than the front, but this can be solved by flipping the sandwich.
3) It doesn't have an on/off switch, but most don't.

POSITIVES
1) The plate with triangles is perfect for sandwiches, but it also has a grill plate if you don't like it or want to cook something else.
2) If you want your sandwiches pressed, the toaster can close and lock with a button.
3) The plates are very easy to clean with a damp cloth once they cool down a bit, unlike the ceramic plate of Izzy where anything that fell on it never came off.
4) You have to try to burn yourself when it's in use. Izzy burned everywhere except for its handle, while this one doesn't burn anywhere, just gets a bit hotter on the metal part on the top.
5) It can be stored upright to take up even less space, without all the crumbs falling out from the bottom like with Izzy.

Overall, for now, we are very satisfied with our purchase after 2 months of use.
