The wifi application is good but only supports phones from 5 years ago. So if you don't have an old android, don't buy it. I called a supposed dealership that exists in Greece, I told them the problem but they were completely clueless.
Owner 1 week with the 2500w EF
The apartment's kitchen and living room handle it perfectly, no complaints.
When I had it in the hallway to see if it can handle the whole house (living room, kitchen, hallway, bathroom, bedroom), I don't think it did. It wasn't freezing, but it wasn't warm either.
At 35 degrees and on the 5th setting.
In the living room and kitchen, at 30 degrees on the 4th setting, it works great. You can sit comfortably in your underwear without any issues.
Now, for the internet connection, it also works perfectly, as long as you find your model. It wasn't easy for me, at least. It stressed me out a bit because I wanted to turn it on an hour before I finish work and have the house warm. Okay, okay, okay, for some, it only heats half of the house.
The application is the following, don't download a different one because I made that mistake.
For these reasons, I plan on getting another one for the bedroom.
Let's also talk about power consumption.
And we'll talk again
Honestly, I read the comments and wonder if I have another heater. As an owner of previous models from the same company, I bought them blindly.
The energy consumption is laughable compared to the performance. I don't even compare it to oil, the difference in heat quality and duration makes the heaters superior.
In a very old house with poor insulation and a temperature of 13 degrees, with one heater on the second setting (out of 5), it warmed up to 23 degrees in less than an hour and maintained the warmth continuously.
Perhaps the only negative is that you can't see when it's working/heating, something that you could see in previous models, for example, that it worked for 10 minutes within the hour.
Overall, an excellent purchase.
I bought the large one with 2500W, supposedly suitable for spaces up to 50 sqm. Useless product, it doesn't heat up the room even in 3 hours, it unnecessarily consumes a lot of electricity, perhaps the worst purchase I have ever made.
In 2 years it broke down and even though it turns on, the heating element doesn't warm up..tragic service and a tragic machine for so much money...stay away from this never again philco..
I don't know about the consumption, but everything else is perfect!!! You get what you pay for.....I wonder why this product has such mediocre reviews...
Apart from the noise from the expansion contraction. In one and a half years, the heating stopped working in half of the body. I left it because it didn't work at full capacity, so it did the job with half the performance. In about 2 years and with objective use of 5 months, all the plastics on top had dried out, as well as the circuit board, and it stopped working.
As I opened it, I saw that the expansion contraction had broken and the resistor inside!! That's why it only worked half.
In short, it didn't last 2 winters with minimal use.
I bought it in the midst of quarantine and immediately regretted it. It never worked for more than 15 days. After taking it to the service center, they keep it for a month and when they return it to me, it breaks again after 15 days. The damages are always the same (as they tell me): a malfunction in the safety mechanism - it deactivates the heater, resulting in no heat. Besides wasting money, I have spent dozens of hours taking it back and forth. I am furious with the company and its service.
It takes 2-3 hours to heat up a 30 sqm room! In a bedroom, it takes about an hour! The app and Wi-Fi work for me! The "filters" simply exist! I have had it for three years and I don't regret it! The programs are good as long as you are willing to adjust them! There is a temperature difference in a large space, five meters away, which seems logical to me because the thermostat is on the device and not at the other end of the room!

The wifi doesn't work, not even after 1 year, so I'm sure it will never work. But it heats up the space easily, just like last year. In the end, it's good, but you can find something that does the same job for less money.
First of all, I want to mention that this is the first heater I've bought. I didn't buy it for the wifi, but to see if the filters it has do the job and because it's an inverter. The result is that I still don't understand why it has filters, as I haven't seen any dust or felt any air coming out of the machine to say that it's a fan heater and it has them for that reason. So maybe I need to do some more research on my part. As for the heating part, I can say that it quickly heats up a ground floor studio apartment of 30 square meters, considering the moderate insulation of the house. I had no issues with the mobile app, although maybe two mobiles can't be connected simultaneously to the same device, or maybe you have to reconnect it after a few days. It has many options and the instruction manual has a lot of information, so maybe it needs more exploration to fully understand its capabilities. The nice thing, though, is that I set it through the app to have a constant temperature of 26 degrees in the house, and it actually happened. After 30-40 minutes of heating the house, I touched it to see if it was hot, but it was cold. I opened the door to throw out the trash, and as soon as I entered the house, I heard it turn on again. If you want it to work all day at high temperatures, don't expect it to be economical. But for me, it's a very good choice. However, maybe you can get a cheaper model. Personally, I'm satisfied with its performance and efficiency, but every house is different. Think before you spend a lot of money on something and do market research according to your space.
Compared to external heaters, it did not have the expected performance...
The wifi never worked!
Poor quality construction, it has plastic components on the control panel where the screws have melted, culminating in these days when the plastic was burnt during operation... It will be sent to the dealership and we will wait for updates... hopefully it will not be returned to us in worse condition... We will complete our review when we receive it.
The application works and it is very easy to handle even when you are not at home. It heats a 35sqm room from 17 to 22 'C in about 2 hours, in a house with double glazed windows in Sitia, Crete with an outside temperature of 12'C. The filters are useless, completely silent, and only emitted a smell on the first day. I don't have a picture for energy consumption yet, and it would be good if someone wrote about it.
Not a good choice at all. In a 30sqm open space, it does absolutely nothing. And in a 10sqm bedroom, you won't notice any difference immediately. It takes too long to heat up a small space. Compared to the previous mica-type heater I had, it's day and night. You didn't even come close to the mica when it was on full blast, with this one you have to sit on top of it to warm up. The handling is quite difficult and noisy, you need to really dig into the instructions. It's not a solution for immediate warmth in a cold room. It's meant to be left on all day and just leave so the room doesn't freeze.
Tragic product and I am outraged that it has more than one star in the ratings. It costs three times more than the competition because it is an inverter, has wifi, energy meter, and carbon filters with vitamin C, etc. Well, none of that is true. The WiFi and the application do not work! So, you cannot control it remotely. It does not have a watt consumption meter. The advertised filters are two small sponges measuring 2x5 centimeters!! And let's talk about the basics... Inverter! A marketing trick to sell. The heater, even though it claims to heat up to 45 square meters, cannot even warm up a 25 square meter room. I have set it to 18 degrees in a 30 square meter room and it has not been able to raise the temperature above 17. It runs all day, so the "inverter" claim is invalid. The consumption I measure (smart plug) is the same as the equivalent oil heater I had for so long and it did the job!
The factor for purchasing this is that it is an inverter and quiet. I installed it in a 35 sqm space with good insulation. In order for the heater to reach 22 degrees in the room, I have to set it at a temperature of 29-30 degrees. This means that in practice, it will never function as an inverter since it will constantly heat up. Additionally, I have a dehumidifier which helps the room warm up faster, something that doesn't happen without a dehumidifier.
The filter it has is okay, it can trap dust and hair, but I don't believe it can do what it claims with just 3 cm, which is the size of the small filters.
- I still haven't connected to the Philco app to control it from my phone. They told me they will fix the app, but I don't see it yet.
- I went to the Philco website to register the warranty, but it doesn't mention the heater in the products. I contacted them to inform me, but I'm still waiting.
- In summary, it is an expensive product that is probably suitable for a small room and not for the 45 sqm it claims. In the future, I will add information about the power consumption.
After 1.5 months of use, it is truly an inverter heater. When the room reaches the desired temperature, it reduces the watt consumption. However, even after 1.5 months, they informed me that they are upgrading the app. So, it is currently useless.
In the pros:
- It has 5 levels and you can adjust it to the level you want in order to limit consumption.
- It has an automatic function until it reaches the desired function and adjusts the intensity by itself.
- Odorless and seems quite powerful.
In the cons:
- It makes a confirmation sound when opening and closing (like when pressing any button), so if you go to open or close it while others are sleeping, it easily wakes them up.
- It has a strong light on its indicators, so when you're used to sleeping in complete darkness, it can be very annoying.
