The first volume describes in simple scientific terms the financial statements of businesses (balance sheet and income statement), analyzing them into their individual parts (assets, liabilities, income, costs, expenses) based on the modern views of the Greek Accounting Standards, the year-end inventory, the description of Accounting Law (Greek Accounting Standards - Law 4308/2014, VAT) and its basic principles, the double-entry method, accounting events, books and records, the internal control of the supporting documents of accounting events, the correction of accounting errors, accounting principles, year-end accounting entries, and finally the principles of preparing the cash flow statement and the statement of changes in equity using the direct and indirect method.

At the end of the first volume, the answers to the exercises are provided.

a) the templates of individual financial statements, and
b) the chart of accounts.
