This is the story of a special Christmas ornament, hanging on a Christmas tree somewhere in a house, in one of the many countries of the world. It is the story of a boy who, although he looked like an elf, dressed as a soldier to go fight in one of the fiercest wars. It is also the story of a small truce in a great war – when Christmas trees appeared from the trenches. A story that many wanted to silence, or let be forgotten, and that many never believed and said was nothing but a legend. Yet this story is true, because… indeed, at Christmas 1914, during the First World War, the Christmas magic spread on the Western Front and people realized the message of brotherhood and peace on earth.
