I bought this lens having my sony a6000. It is mainly for crop sensor (85mm is equivalent to 127.5mm on full frame cameras, which is close to 135mm) cameras as I saw from foreign reviews, that's why I ended up with this one wanting a lens for portraits. I admit that manual focus, although it "soured" me at first, in practice it was very easy to get used to and familiarize myself with it. Of course, the focus peaking of the camera and the amazing focus ring of the lens, which is "tight enough", also help with this. The lens is incredibly sharp even from f1.8 and its bokeh is "creamy". Of course, it is ideal for photos with good lighting, but at night you will definitely need to stabilize the camera somewhere because there is no oss and due to the 127.5mm which is essentially a telephoto lens, it will be difficult to take crispy photos. In conclusion, I recommend the lens without reservation if you don't have a problem with manual focus - aperture and if you mainly want it for photos with good lighting. It is also very lightweight as it is made of plastic, without this making it inferior in terms of quality. It is quite sturdy.
Incredible lens. I bought it in MFT (m4/3) version, so its 85mm is equivalent to 170mm.
Great construction, clearly heavier than the plastic ones on the market, but its image quality is worth it.
Excellent solution for close-ups and details in low light situations. The manual focus is super smooth.
As for the lack of stabilizer, if you have the internal IBIS and Electronic activated on your Lumix (yes, for those who haven't noticed, newer models have 2 internal stabilizers - a mechanical IBIS and an electronic one), you won't see any difference compared to DualIS with a stabilized lens in video!
I loved this lens, although to capture someone's entire face, you have to be at least 2 meters away (because of the 170mm).
