I installed it in my 2004 Skoda Octavia. Very easy installation. It had the ISO connector inside the package, and I just plugged it in. I also swapped the yellow with the red wire (they have terminals) so that the settings wouldn't be lost in this specific car. The microphone was placed inside the interior lighting dome (it had a socket for the microphone).
The sound is very good.
The call recognition on the audio system's screen is in Greek!
The quality of the phone call is excellent!
Bluetooth connects almost instantly.
The smart sync app gave me a hard time until I learned how to connect it. Eventually, I saw a video from Pioneer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjeZ34q0nvA&ab_channel=pioneerelectronics and found that to start the app, you need to hold down the phone button on the audio system. I think this is good because if you get into the car for a short trip and have your phone in your bag or pocket, only the Bluetooth for calls and streaming from Spotify connects, but not the app for the extras. If you now place the phone in the dock, open the app, press and hold the phone button on the audio system, the app connects as well.
I also liked that the volume can be easily adjusted while driving by swiping my finger up or down on the phone's screen.
Overall, I am very satisfied!

After about six months of use, I have to say:
1. The overall user experience is good, and the sound of the music is very good.
2. I can listen to internet radio through a mobile app.
3. On trips, there is usually some disconnection at some point, which comes back later.
4. However, the biggest problem is the call quality, specifically, the interference that the other party hears. Inside the car, I hear very well with clear sound, but the same does not apply to the other end of the line. I have removed the microphone from the dome, checked it with a mobile app, and it records sound perfectly, but as soon as a phone call is made, the other party hears buzzing and interference. The problem may improve a little when the phone is not in the dock but in the jacket pocket, but this is still an issue. I have tried another phone to see if that was the problem and another microphone, but nothing. I wonder if I have received a defective piece or if it is a more general problem. Note that I have routed the microphone under the passenger glove compartment, it goes up to the ceiling from the right pillar between the passenger door and the windshield, and through the headliner, it ends up outside the dome with the interior light.

Well, about 3 months ago, I changed my phone. (from the TP-LINK Neffos X1Max to the Samsung Galaxy A52s). All the problems with calls disappeared. No complaints from the other party. The overall user experience has improved as well. I am completely satisfied.
My rating concerns those who want lossless sound flac from android.
!!! WARNING: you cannot have lossless from android mobile !!! Because:
- Android does not output sound to USB (this is an android issue), but Pioneer avoids saying it.
- It does not recognize android smartphones as USB disks!! It only charges them!
- The app does not play flac from the mobile. So, you can only play flac files on the mobile with another app and only through Bluetooth, but Bluetooth cannot transfer lossless sound, it converts it to lossy during playback, it just has slightly better sound than mp3 320.
- The only solution for lossless sound is to put the flac files on a USB stick and play them from there because it recognizes them through USB. But there, the functionality is reduced. For example, the shuffle function is terrible, it shuffles all the songs on the USB and not just the current folder!!!
It's a shame to advertise it as playing flac and connecting with USB without the disclaimers...
If you haven't already bought it - like I did - stay away!!
The best solution for lossless is to get a sound system with AUX and connect your mobile with a cable.
If you don't play ball with the app, it doesn't work well sometimes if you want to play sound from other applications like Instagram
I upgraded the source in a Ford Ka mk2; I wanted to give a touch of freshness to the car without spending too much and to part with the aftermarket hands-free cables, in the aux position.
On the positive side, there is full customization with the help of the app, the beautiful graphics, the open listening capabilities, the satisfactory sound quality, and the price.
On the negative side, there is almost complete dependence on the app and the phone, which means without it you don’t even have the station memories, and the Bluetooth connection is not that great (often it doesn’t connect automatically when you get in the vehicle), the poor voice calling which doesn’t recognize the directory in either Greek or Latin characters! The conversation is considered satisfactory but not perfect. Lastly, when in an area with low FM radio reception in the city, you have no sound at all, the reception bar is zero, and only after a delay does it manage to catch a signal.
Pioneer needs to work on this a bit, but at this price, there is nothing else worth the effort; some Chinese models for 70-80€ don’t work properly, so if you have an old car and don’t want to spend 300-500-700 euros on Android screens, this is a solution.
If you want to have DAB radio reception (currently only ERT broadcasts), then there is the model sph20bt which has this feature, but you have to pay an extra 25€ for the DAB antenna!!!

What I mentioned above about the problematic delay in reception when there is no good signal relates to the so-called pi seek, where the radio searches for another frequency that broadcasts the same program, so it’s not a problem with the device, and you can adjust it from the app to pi seek off as well as AF off so that it doesn’t go into the process of searching and leave you without sound for a while
Probably for security reasons, it cannot play videos. So if you want to watch YouTube, for example, you will do it from your phone that you have connected via Bluetooth, and not from the app's menu. If you want to have saved videos, you need to save them on your phone and not on a flash drive. To connect the phone via the app, it doesn't always work the first time.

After a month of operation, it developed a problem with the radio. It stopped playing and the tuner indicator was flickering. I sent it to the dealership... they told me that Pioneer radios generally have an issue with the radio chip. Now they are waiting a month for the replacement part from Belgium...
My mechanic told me that he has another one in his workshop, abandoned by a customer with a sound output problem...
All in all, it's all as my grandmother would say...

Good connection with the phone.
Good application with many settings for sound and everywhere... and with the microphone I currently have no problem... they hear me very well on the other line.
The base is very convenient. I also installed the parking sensor and it works great too (connecting the cable from behind with the purple white media cable is mandatory for it to work).
4/5 and it could have been perfect BUT,
it is almost useless without the mobile phone, it doesn't even have buttons 1-6 to switch to the saved stations, so the only thing you can do without the app is to manually search for stations by frequency. I would prefer not having to connect the mobile phone every time and open the app for a quick drive.
The app is indeed difficult to use, but it's not the end of the world.
I confirm that the microphone is indeed terrible, I replaced it with another one from a different Bluetooth radio. And the microphone jack is 2.5mm, not 3.5mm for anyone who wants to get another one. I suggest not using the one that comes with the package.
On the positive side, the sound and build quality are good, the phone holder is very good and user-friendly, and the installation in my car was easy (I don't know if it's the same for all cars). The only extra thing I needed that was not included in the package was an adapter for the antenna jack, which was different.
Overall, I recommend it to you.
I put it in a BMW e36 and it works perfectly. Installation took 10 minutes with the application.
The Bluetooth connects immediately and does everything through the mobile phone. It has most of the features of a 2DIN source.
The only negative is that you may want to use your phone simultaneously with a screen that you can't.
The only downside I can find is that there is no way to save the stations and listen to them without a mobile phone. You have to go manually every time. Also, the charging from the USB is not considered satisfactory.
I installed it in a 2008 Citroen C4. The sound is miles away from the factory audio system. I am satisfied with the accompanying application (although it is a bit buggy). It has a multitude of settings for both sound and appearance of the application. The connection was easily made using Bluetooth. There is also the option to connect via USB. The sound quality during calls is excellent (confirmed by all the conversations I have had so far using it). I think it is a great upgrade for older cars.
The only negative thing is that it doesn't have the option to switch from one saved station to another from the device itself, from the buttons. But only from the mobile.
Other than that, it is a very good choice.
The speech quality is not good at all. The microphone is of extremely low quality, resulting in improper sound. I also noticed a sound delay, which makes phone conversations very difficult! As a car audio, it's fine but expensive. I wouldn't recommend it to a friend...
Excellent solution for an older technology car, as it easily connects to your mobile phone via an app, allowing you to always have your favorite songs available through USB flash, Spotify, etc. For enthusiasts, it can go a step further by purchasing an extra steering wheel remote control and a reverse camera. Highly recommended
This particular source has incredible sound quality (replaced a much more expensive Japanese-made Alpine). I have relatively good speakers and with the settings it has, everyone asks me if I have installed a subwoofer. When I set it up for a more accurate sound, I will tell you my impressions, but so far it has surprised me. The build quality is very good and sturdy. It holds the phone well, but it doesn't attach easily as if it has a magnet, but it's okay. I control it entirely from the phone. It is a bit difficult and limited from the source. The Bluetooth connection is quite fast and immediate. It is very rare not to automatically find the device, like any Bluetooth device. And now the only downside that I didn't give it 5 stars for. The application is okay but not on par with the name of Pioneer. I hope it improves in a future update. However, there is no reason to reject it. I bought it for €112 and it is a good price for what it offers!
I bought the sound system and installed it in a Hyundai Accent 2002. The plug is simply plug and play, meaning it's just a piece of cake in the electrical part, but for the installation part, you need to make a modification to the base they provide you with so that you don't remove the cassette player slot of the original company. Other than that, it's flawless. The application (Apple store) requires a little searching, but it's very good, and the front face in the insert and remove process requires a little lifting from the right side to come out of the cassette player after pressing the Release Button. Overall, very satisfied.
After a year of ownership and use, I can say that my purchase has been confirmed and then some. Excellent intensity and sound quality with numerous settings. Mobile base, infinite color options to match all cars. The only drawback is the absence of a remote control and the knowledge - familiarity with sound settings. Sometimes it blocks the Bluetooth and does not open the application with the source control panel, but it is easily solved by simply disabling and enabling Bluetooth on the mobile
Top system. Sometimes the connection with the app frustrates me. Nevertheless, while I thought I would use it all the time, now I only combine it with Spotify and Bluetooth from my phone. I have paired it with radios where you either won't find anything good to listen to or you'll hear Ben Hur commercials!!!

It does everything it says and more...both the application and the sound are amazing...but for me, the mobile holder is everything...no suction cups or air vents...Overall, the Pioneer is superb..

The application that exists for this is a bit of a nightmare, but even if you download it, you will get bored of it, I believe, just like me.

I have no problem and I have had it for about a year.
Coming from Alpine, which I had paid 370€ for, I can say that I am very satisfied. It has very good sound quality, installed with an amplifier and subwoofer. The car jumps. Superior sound quality and in terms of settings, I thought the previous one was good enough, but Pioneer taught me otherwise! With a purchase of 105€, I don't think there is a better choice. I mostly use it with a USB stick, very user-friendly. With the phone, it requires a little searching, especially in the settings because it has a lot of specialized options! It's perfect for a above-average sound system.
I have had it for two years, and for its price, it is flawless. I have Bose speakers, and the sound is crystal clear. If you lock and unlock the car, sometimes it may not connect. You close the application, reopen it, and it connects again, or the Bluetooth

I have no issue with the Bluetooth after the firmware update in early 22... they continue to support it and add features such as OBD2 to the application
I installed it myself in a Peugeot 206 along with four speakers and a steering wheel control adapter without any major issues, and I am satisfied.
I'm not crazy about the sound, the original speakers work fine, but I was more interested in the Bluetooth and the phone stand, and it works perfectly there.

One of the best value-for-money purchases I have made. Having a 17-year-old car, I didn't want to invest in a sound system. I was looking for a simple radio until I came across the Pioneer. It is visually very beautiful and its front panel looks high-quality. However, what is impressive is how complete it becomes with the addition of Smart Sync. It connects directly and easily to a Samsung A52, which functions as a touch screen for the unit, thus creating a complete infotainment system. Spotify, YouTube Music, Soundcloud, TuneIn are some of the applications you can use. Bluetooth for calls, navigation with a button on the front panel, and voice commands. User-friendly and comprehensive menu. Highly recommended. For €104, I can't imagine how anyone could be disappointed.
After a month of use, positive aspects include the appearance, the ability to connect to any mobile phone, the built-in mobile base, nice colors, front cover case, external microphone, and DAB radio capability.
Negatives:
Multiple disconnections via Bluetooth from the mobile device.
Difficult menu.
Lack of instructions.
No DAB antenna included in the package, so you have to consider an additional €25 for its purchase, plus the installation.
In some music tracks using the same phone device, the same Bluetooth system, the sound through Bluetooth connection with a portable JBL speaker is impeccable.
When connected to this sound system, the sound is simply unacceptable.
Unfortunately, the update for the device is equally difficult and impractical.
It's a shame, I expected more quality from this company.
Unfortunately, the main and most significant problem is the Bluetooth connection. While manually making this connection, yes, the device and the phone recognize it, but when I open the PIONEER application for the Android system, it shows that it is connected, but the application does not open except after many attempts. After contacting through the Google digital application, specifically the PIONEER application, after writing complaints and negative reviews, specifically about Bluetooth and the software it has, yes, there is a noticeable improvement in the responsiveness of the device and the program, immediate response of the connecting system via Bluetooth.
I also installed a Pioneer DAB antenna for €25. There are digital radio signals available only from ERT, and yes, there is a noticeable difference in sound quality and signal quality regarding this radio reception system, but it does not work everywhere in Attica. When there is complete signal coverage, yes, it is worth it compared to the current type of radio signal broadcasting.

After the upgrade, the problems with Bluetooth reappeared.
Satisfactory as a music playback device, but the company needs to deal with the accompanying software.
As for my sound system, it is purely my personal opinion, but it needs an upgrade in terms of speakers.
After 2 years, I will say that it is the most useful 110 euros I spent. The best upgrade I made! Especially on solo trips, it is a lifesaver.
Both my wife and I love it. Both mobile phones connect if we are together in the car.
I have made flawless hours of calls with TEAMS and VIBER. Radio and Spotify music.
I have not tried the safety features because the camera of the mobile phone does not "see the road" from the base.
I have installed 2 firmware updates so far and now I have to install one more, which means that the company does not leave the device to chance, apart from the android application, even though years have passed.
I was very skeptical about its quality.
Installation is very easy if you have basic knowledge of wiring.
Installation manual, connectivity with the app, incredible quality, and sound settings compared to a regular radio.

Well, I was reading some reviews that said there is a problem with the Bluetooth, but for me it connects immediately as soon as I open the car and of course if I have the Bluetooth on my phone turned on!
