I bought them directly from a store for an nmax155 and now I happened to be browsing here on Skroutz.... I had the Dunlop Smart Scoot that the bike came with from the manufacturer before I put on these specific Pirelli tires... I happened to go on a small road trip that I had done before... well, where with the previous ones I thought I would die in some turns, now I was opening the throttle MORE in the turn and there was even room to push the bike more... huge difference. Now, in about a week, I have only seen the traction control indicator twice and still didn't realize that the bike slipped (and I had taken off with full throttle). I don't know if there are better tires, but they are definitely among the good ones.

I don't know why some people above say that these tires are dangerous.. mounted on a 2014 Burgman 400, I lean until I find the plastics.. 6k kilometers mostly outside the city on provincial roads with curves and rough asphalt, they are there when you need them and in critical situations.. and in the wet, they perform well in braking and everything.. previous Dunlop tires wouldn't let you lean even with a request

I have been wearing them for 7000 kilometers now and they are not what I expected. They slip a lot on dry surfaces, but perform better on wet ones. I have no complaints about comfort. The best tire I have put on a scooter and have tried everything....in wet conditions, as many claim, it performs very well...I have had them for 5 years and they still hold up perfectly, they need to be replaced because cracks have started to appear, but they have never let me down in sudden braking.....of course, I don't push them to the limit in turns...The city grip tires I had afterwards would skate after a while.....

Very mediocre tire! While on wet asphalt you feel stability and safety, on dry it easily slips and skids. The Michelin ones I had were much better in every aspect. I wear them on a Piaggio Medley 150 for delivery use!

Purchased in April 2021, a year and a half ago, that is, and after the tire dealer insisted I use these because there were no Michelins due to the pandemic. However, on Skroutz, there were many stores with available Michelins, but I was in a hurry to change them because I was going through the vehicle inspection and had Michelins from 2012, so I decided to try the Pirelli. They were installed on an Aprilia Atlantic 300 (which weighs 160 kg, one of the lightest, most agile, and "fast" scooters I have ridden in the 300cc category) but I only have experience with Michelins in this size, so inevitably I compare them with those. Sizes: rear 130/70/13 and front 110/90/13.
My impression when I installed them: They are relatively soft tires, comfortable. The same when they start to slip, they do so a bit smoothly. In the rain, they behave well as long as the road isn't too smooth and there's a bit of water; there they slip more easily. They are also quiet, with good rolling quality.
The impression I have of the tires today after a year and a half and 6000 km: They have hardened, they are not as soft as at first. They slip quite a bit more in dry conditions than when I installed them, especially if they sit for a few days without use, and the front slips first, resulting in a bit of a scare; they don't slip together like I was used to with the previous tires. They remain quiet and with good rolling quality. They need pressure checks every 2 months as they lose 3-4 psi. Finally, winter hasn't come yet for me to see how they behave in very wet conditions.
In comparison with the Michelin City Grip I had: The Michelins are a bit harder but sharper in handling, they slip later (with more kilometers, at least +10 km/h) and perhaps a bit more abruptly compared to the Pirelli. They have the same rolling quality in the center; the Pirelli are a bit more comfortable and quieter when leaning. In very wet conditions, the Pirelli will reach hydroplaning more easily. The Michelins wear a bit more in the center compared to the Pirelli when you cover many kilometers standing (e.g., on the highway). I rarely check their pressure because they don't lose air, maybe I add 2 psi in 6 months. Finally, the Michelin City Grip 2 (the new model) that I have on another 300cc scooter (SYM GTS 300) has an M+S indication, suitable for winter conditions (mud, snow, a lot of water) with all the positives that entails except that they wear out a bit faster (the scooter is also heavy, 192 kg and almost always slightly loaded since I do "standing" trips with it).
Conclusion. I probably wouldn't buy them again for the spirited city riding I do with the Aprilia Atlantic 300. They might suit the SYM GTS 300 better, meaning for more "touring" use where I would seek a more comfortable tire that can handle straight lines and where I don't have many grip demands, etc. They are also a bit more expensive than other brands even though they are made in "economical" Indonesia. (The Michelin City Grip I had is made in Spain while the new model, the City Grip 2 M+S, is made in Serbia.)
Update March 2023, after 2 years: The tires have dried out even more, they slip even more easily on bad road surfaces. They don't shed water well enough; hydroplaning comes quicker than I expected; in moderate water, they are okay, but in relatively deep water or in potholes, they literally pass over the water, and you lose control. It now seems logical to me since the grooves in the tire are quite narrow/small and almost vertical to the rolling of the tire. On the contrary, the Michelin City Grip 2 that I have on my other scooter perform excellently even in the wet; you can lean as much as you want on good asphalt no matter how much it rains, you can go through puddles without noticing anything, and in the rain, I comfortably hit 120 km/h and more without fear. They haven't worn out even though they are 3 years old compared to the 2 years I have the Pirelli. From what I understand, the tire dealers push to "promote" the Pirelli, which are from Indonesia and logically should be quite cheaper, but don't fall for it, they are not worth it!
Update 11/2024:
This year I used them a bit more, I did... 3,000 km over the year! :) I can now "correct" the wear I felt, which is obviously from the inactivity I have. On good asphalt where I ride and on open roads, they behave well. However, the Michelin "cleans" faster after inactivity and generally remains sharper, showing its limits more clearly compared to the Pirelli, where you don't know when it will slip on bad asphalt or in water. Ultimately, for winter and a good feel at the limits, I would choose the Michelin, while for more touring use and comfort avoiding bad asphalt and a lot of water, I would choose the Pirelli. However, I am still puzzled by the fact that the Pirelli are more expensive than the Michelin. Anyway, on my 125 scooter with 12-inch wheels, I put Michelin City Grip 2 and I don't regret it! sym citycom 20,000 km 4+ years not so much in use in the city and they are very good even though I will replace them with the same ones. They don't wear out, especially the rear. It impresses me that after so many years there are no cracks or sunburn marks, even though it wasn't in a shady area.

From these specific tires, I was very satisfied. For me, they are the best I have tried on my scooter (People 300gti). I have also tried Metzeler and Dunlop, but these tires lasted me 40,000 km. Of course, their performance decreases after the first year (I ride about 10,000-12,000 km per year). Now they are worn out and need to be replaced. If you let go of the handlebars, even with a few kilometers, it's a crazy gamble. I am considering either getting the same tires again or trying the City Grip 2 (I haven't heard good things about the first one, but they say the second one is better). I will see...

In less than 8 months with only 5000km, it slipped on me, good thing it was on an SH 150i and I don't know how I avoided the accident.

I was recommended them by a store that supplies all brands. They are not factory-made and I had some hesitation at first, but I trusted the name and the fact that they were slightly more expensive than the Michelins that the scooter came with from the factory. I put them on a Vespa GTS super sport. I'm not one of those who leans into the turn with their knee, but I will say the following. The scooter handles better, brakes better, and you really feel like you're sticking to the road. As for durability, I don't know because I've had them for about 1 month, but I remember in the past I had a smaller Vespa ET4 with factory-made Pirellis that lasted 4-5 years, unlike the Michelins that needed to be changed at 3 to 4 years. The time I've had them so far is fantastic, highly recommended.

Excellent choice. The behavior of the scooter changes. These tires are now a one-way street, which is why they are so successful. Especially for scooters with 15" wheels and below, they are the best option. The grip on turns is excellent and they seem to maintain their properties for a long period of time (which is the most important thing, as in the beginning everything is fine, unlike other tires from well-known manufacturers).
