The best boot for tough use, of course, it is not as comfortable as trail running shoes, but when conditions require it, such as mud, a little snow, cold, rain, etc., there is nothing more reliable than Meindl and the Island boots are one of their best. The size may be a bit larger than expected, but with thick socks suitable for their use, you won't have a problem. I wear size 49.5 in Nike and I got size 50 because I couldn't find 49.5... I have had them for 4 years with light use, and they are still like new. In normal conditions, I prefer trail running shoes or lower boots. I highly recommend them, especially for challenging activities like hunting, etc. They are definitely worth the money.
