Coming from the Thunderbolt Lacie 4TB, I have to say that the Professional USB has nothing to do with the previous HDD. It is slower and also goes into sleep mode all the time, and the computer takes a long time to read it until it picks up speed. I consider it to be of good quality, but unfortunately, its speed frustrates me.

It concerns an 8TB version.
It was purchased to replace four older external hard drives.
However, it is not functioning properly and will be returned.The reason is as follows. It takes too long to respond. It takes about 20 seconds to wake up and execute even the smallest command. I don't mean after it has fallen asleep after a long idle period. I mean after consecutive commands.
It should be noted that LACIE does not have any support in Greece. I have already sent an email to LACIE UK and am waiting for a response, which is delayed, I don't see it coming.
