Well, as a complete beginner in using products, I have the following observations to make.
1st, you wouldn't call it a new smell.
2nd, it leaves a shine. I would like less, to tell you the truth, because I have a new car and these shines I associate with the old cars of the '80s that our fathers used to spray on the dashboard and the shine blinded you.
3rd, it does clean small stains indeed, but I didn't have anything serious to clean.
It does its job. The shine that will remain depends on how well you wipe it after application. Its scent has nothing to do with the smell of a new car and it is not a pleasant scent. It is also expensive. I will probably prefer something else once it runs out.
Hello, I put the product on plastic parts of a machine that I cannot wash by hand, which have dust and stains from dirt on them. It didn't do the job as it should have, meaning the dust remained. Additionally, it requires pressurized water to remove it, it doesn't come off with just a little water, it sticks to the plastic
Nice smell but, as others have said, it only lasts the same day you apply it! Nice shine, not too much, just enough to freshen up the appearance of plastics. It feels greasy to the touch if you touch the areas you sprayed, but personally, it doesn't bother me.
For the interior plastics of the car (dashboard, leather around the steering wheel, leather on the handbrake, side interior plastics, and all plastics in general), it does a wonderful job and leaves a new car smell as well.
The downside is that dust sticks to it. I have to wipe the dashboard with a microfiber cloth every two days (just the cloth, no product on it) to prevent the dust from showing.
Overall, very satisfied for 2 years now.
Note: It is NOT suitable for the steering wheel and on the handbrake or areas where fingers touch because it slips. Especially the steering wheel, DO NOT use it.
Very good product. Cleans nicely with a little shine. Regarding the scent, I read in several comments that it smells very nice, but to me, it doesn't smell much at all. Very minimal scent
Compared to the "Meguiar's Natural Shine Protectant," it leaves a less intense shine that I didn't expect, but it was a pleasant surprise because it looks even more natural. The only negative is that while the scent is present and very nice, it is very weak, resulting in it almost not being there.
What impressed me is its wonderful scent, which you can't get enough of smelling! It comes in a liquid lotion and leaves a light shine, but not excessive or greasy, which I find amazing. Meguiar's is an excellent company in all its products! Definitely will buy it again when it runs out!
UPDATE 05/07/2023 it definitely lasts at least 1.5 years with regular use.
Let me mention some things that are not mentioned in other comments:
1. This product is a white spray lotion.
2. Its role is a) to protect the plastic parts of the car, b) to clean, c) to leave a nice fragrance.
3. Its fragrance is not the scent of a new car, but the fragrance of a luxury car.
4. It gives a slight greasiness, so it is better not to use it on the steering wheel and gear lever, unless one removes the greasiness with a wet cloth afterwards.
5. It doesn't require much product to clean one's car.
6. If someone is looking for a polish, they should not get this product. The shine it gives is very small, almost imperceptible. Also, if someone is looking for a product to paint black plastics, again, they should not get this product.
7. Its fragrance lasts for several days and makes the use of any car air freshener unnecessary.
8. It successfully cleans even glossy plastics. However, it should not be used on black metallic parts, as fingerprints are easily left there.
9. They say that this product is absorbed by the plastic and "nourishes" it. I don't know to what extent this is true. However, it may take care of the foamy, soft plastics in some way, so that they don't deteriorate easily.
10. Finally, regarding cleanliness, do not expect chlorine-level results. It is a mild cleaner. Thus, it will not be able to clean white, textured plastics with stubborn dirt in the crevices. However, it will be able to clean fresh dirt or something sticky. Additionally, it is very effective with dust.
Personally, I have been using it for a year and I am completely satisfied. Also, the bottle I bought last year is not finished yet, even though I clean my car almost every week.
However, I can see that it is not a coincidence that Meguiar's has such a reputation. Indeed, it is worth its money.
Especially for older cars that have accumulated some dirt, it makes a huge difference and has lasted for a few weeks without losing its shine. On the first day, it appears a bit more glossy, but after 24 hours, it mattifies uniformly. I also tried it on a vinyl hood out of curiosity, and it held up quite well.
Very good product with a wonderful scent!!! Cleans and revitalizes plastics without dust sticking on top after use, with a satin finish! I recommend it!
Very good job. I sprayed it on a cloth and then wiped on:
1) Plastic parts. Nice shine and good cleaning.
2) Leather (not seats but steering wheel, gear shifts). Good cleaning.
It leaves a nice smell and removes dust and simple stains.
