The NYX Professional Makeup High Definition Studio Photogenic powder will help you achieve an absolutely matte and velvety smooth complexion. It absorbs excess oil, leaves the skin matte, and extends the duration of your makeup. The powder is transparent, so it perfectly matches any skin tone and does not change the color of your makeup.
Properties:
Application method:
With a brush or a powder sponge, apply the powder to your face.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
First of all, I would like to emphasize that I have combination skin and powders like this do not suit all skin types. In order to use this powder correctly, one must understand its purpose. It is neither a baking powder nor a setting powder. It is the final step of makeup and should not be applied in large quantities. Personally, it did not disappoint me. It had a uniform application and indeed, it has a wonderful result in photos. My only concern is whether it works the same on darker skin tones
All the reviews are on point.
Real disappointment.
It doesn't spread evenly, no matter how I tried. If you take a photo with flash, the result is like a thriller, it smudges everywhere and you sniff it with the first puff. It doesn't set anything on top of it after application, and the brushes/sponges that come in contact with it feel like it sucks their soul and dries them out.
I regret my money...
It is not a good powder.
You apply a small amount with the brush and you become a Snowman.
Its texture causes dryness and does not spread well.
The packaging is not practical, you pour a little and half of the powder is gone.
The same powder from another brand is much better, like Maybelline's.
I would not buy it again
Very terrible!!! It leaves marks on the face!!! Every time I have worn it, everyone asks me why my face looks like that!!! Especially if you take a photo with flash, you have dots all over your face!!! The worst powder I have ever tried!!! Stay away!!!
When I went to buy it, I tried it on my hand and it gave me a soft blur effect, which I really liked. However, when I used it on my face, it created something like patches and the color was not even. Also, be careful, it causes flashback!!
I bought it after reading many reviews online claiming it to be the ultimate dupe for the famous and bestselling Laura Mercier powder (which is quite expensive). However, the disappointment was HUGE! I applied it for the first time and saw a face full of discoloration! Spots everywhere! I removed it, thinking I did something wrong, applied it again over my makeup with a large brush specifically for loose powder, but the result was still terrible! Two days later, I tried it again (making sure all the oil was gone from my skin beforehand), but the dark spots were still there! I have some reservations that maybe the shade was wrong, but it would still result in an overall dark outcome, not a "polka dot" effect. I am still in search of the ideal loose powder... we shall see!
