We can use all parts of the plant, and each part contributes to the treatment of different ailments.
- The leaves are used as a diuretic, for the treatment of arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatism, prostatitis, high blood pressure, and allergic rhinitis.
- The root is recommended as a diuretic for the relief of benign prostatic hyperplasia and other prostate problems, and for the treatment or prevention of baldness.
- It is used in cooking either as a salad after blanching the leaves or in pies along with other greens and in soups.
- The use of nettle, however, may not be ideal for various diseases or conditions, and for this reason, it is advisable to consult with a physician, especially if you are taking any kind of medication.
- Infusion: 2 tablespoons of crushed preparation are dipped in a glass (200 g) of water, boiled for 1 minute, then the liquid is strained and drunk. 2 – 3 such doses are taken per day, preferably sweetened with honey, maple syrup, or agave syrup.
