This one has a li-ion battery with a code that ends in /30, be careful not to mistake it for the models that come before it, which have a simple Ni-mi battery that is much inferior. With this one, I have surpassed 18 shaves plus some touch-ups on my back and chest, and I still haven't had to charge it. I highly recommend it. You won't get a close shave, but you won't look unshaved either. It's one step below a razor blade. (Edit: The replacement blade says it lasts for 4 months, but in the month that I'm about to complete, it already requires more pressure and passes to get the job done. Also, the charger is compatible with our outlets.)
I have had this particular machine for almost 2 months. The shaving it provides is very good and fast, it has never caused any irritation.
The facial shaving is very quick and effective, it really has the result of a razor. Sometimes it may require a second pass, but it is so fast that it doesn't bother me.
I have the same opinion about the body, I have used the body blade with and without the protective cover and I am very satisfied. It shaves the whole body and the sensitive area very well.
The blades are easy to clean, I put them in a bowl with warm water and soap for about 10 to 15 minutes and then rinse them well. I found the instructions on the Philips website.
As for the battery life and charging, I have no complaints, the duration time is faithful to what is mentioned in the specifications (about 40 to 50 minutes), so I can use it several times before needing to charge it. The charging takes about an hour and a half.
I have it for a long time. It does an excellent job, quite close to the skin. However, some clips, like the green one, don't offer anything. At least I haven't found exactly what it helps with
It does not have the performance that a razor has. For me, who shaves once a week, it is perfect - ideal, but for someone who shaves daily, it will not have the performance that a razor has. But overall, I would say that it does what it promises.
It requires multiple passes, the positive thing is that it doesn't cut anything (e.g. when I pass over an olive tree I have). The spare parts need to be replaced frequently, making it overall expensive
If you have thick and dense hair on your legs or body, I would recommend getting a trimmer to take care of them manually and then use it because it will definitely take you 2 hours. It cuts very deeply but it takes a little longer, it requires patience but the result is very good.
The worst thing I have bought. No comparison to a razor, especially if you want a close shave for everyday use. As a military person, I consider the product literally useless. It takes 5-10 repetitions to achieve a basic shave that still amounts to nothing. Maybe it is only suitable for trimming mustaches or body hair. For ANYTHING else, it is extremely "weak" and ineffective. Yes, I read the instructions, yes, I did exactly what it said, yes, it is my 6th shaving machine and the worst one.
I have had the machine for almost a year. With shaving twice a week, the battery easily lasts for a month. It does not cause any irritation like I had with the razor. Maybe for tougher hair, it needs an extra pass for a deeper shave. It is worth its money and more. It had two blades inside and I still haven't ordered a replacement, meaning each replacement lasted me about 5 months.
The best machine I could get, small (convenient for the face), gives a very close shave (like a razor), doesn't clog easily, this specific version has a lithium battery.
It includes a head for body use, which requires multiple passes to achieve good results.
Overall, it is a small machine that comfortably shaves the face and body without the irritations caused by razors
Having used practically all methods for trimming body and sensitive areas with their respective painful results, I have to share with you that this purchase is by far the best, safest, and most valuable solution currently available. I will spoil it a bit for friends who gave it less than 5 stars because, firstly, with a good pass on dense brown hair, a smooth shaving result is achieved just like with a razor, without irritation. And secondly, in sensitive areas, we're talking about an amazing, masterful grip, as even without the guard, careful movements prevent any cuts. For those who want something quick, of course, they can keep the guard that does exactly what it promises. A touching device, I wish I had found it earlier. Highly recommended, and finally, we can also say the phrase: "And the bikini? Perfect, guys!"
The main reason I bought it was to shave my face and secondly to trim my chest, armpits, and "sensitive area". The packaging contains everything (even an adapter for the power supply - well done to the company - and don't be fooled by the appearance of the power supply, it doesn't fit Greek sockets). However, I would prefer a hard case - which I will order - as the machine is suitable for traveling. Until now, I used a Panasonic shaver, but I was always bothered by its blade and it irritated me - luckily, I don't have sensitive skin. In this area, Philips excels.
Much better shaving with just the blade without the skin protector, without irritations (one level before against the grain). It also includes a protective case similar to toothbrushes but made of hard plastic, similar to the 1.2.3 & 5 mm clips that I haven't tried yet... And let's move on to body trimming. If I appear consistent and trim regularly, I will be well covered (the use of the skin protector that they recommend for the face is very good in the sensitive area!). If, on the other hand, I am not consistent and time passes, then my old machine will do the job much faster, and in combination with the Philips, I will have a very good result. I gave it three stars... and removed one because as a shaver, it is one step below a razor, but not for everyone. And another one because in trimming, it needs assistance in more "intense" cases. I may be unfair to it... or maybe not... but I am quite satisfied anyway.
We have received it and discovered that the charger is not like all the regular ones and it requires an adapter to plug it in. So if you get it, be aware of what awaits you.
