Generally, it's an okay screen. The big downside is that it doesn't have built-in speakers. One thing that someone will notice is that it has a dullness.
Very beautiful and does its job perfectly for this money. The installation was a bit strange as it couldn't find the HDMI at first and I had to connect it differently first. The height adjustment is very convenient.
The good thing about teleworking is that I realized how restful this screen is. In the office, I had a Samsung and later an LG. Both were FHD and 21''. Every day I would leave the office with dry eyes (dry eye syndrome). I bought this one when it first came out, in February 2019, for my home computer, for browsing, watching movies, etc. I never sat for many hours.
With teleworking, I understood how restful it is. 8-10 hours of work every day and I don't feel anything, no eye strain. Of course, I have made custom settings regarding brightness, contrast, etc. and it took me about a week to find the ideal settings for me.
As for the build quality, it is excellent. Sturdy and it seems to be made of good materials.
The USB hub is also a plus, as I connect it to my laptop.
I haven't taken advantage of the fact that it rotates vertically, but you never know.
I have the 24-inch one, and I don't know if I did the right thing by not getting the 27-inch one. I was thinking about the PPI, since it is lower on the 27-inch one. I was also concerned at the time about the potential eye strain that such a large screen might bring. Now I am tempted to get the 27-inch one, as teleworking will continue for a long time...
Incredibly easy assembly and very good picture quality, loses one star because it does not include an HDMI cable in the package for connecting to a laptop (it only has a display port).
It has been 3 days since I bought it as my main screen for use with my laptop.
Positives:
1. Good and sturdy build quality (you can tell when you hold the screen with its base in your hands).
2. Although the laptop has a better panel in terms of colors, contrast, etc., for the use I want it for (office work), it is very good.
3. Its base has many settings that I think are not easily found at this price (height adjustment, rotation, etc.) and it helps a lot to adjust it properly. Of course, I needed to put a book underneath it to be at eye level, but even on its own, it is quite high when you set it to the maximum height. Also, the hole in the base for cable management is very useful so that you don't have the desk cluttered with cables.
4. It offers several connections (HDMI, Display Port, VGA) and also the USB hub it has is very useful since my laptop only has 3 ports and now I can have 4 free ones (the others are for a receiver and a fan base). Also, it includes a USB 3.0 upstream cable from Type A to Type B to connect the hub and a display port cable (I would have liked HDMI as well) which are of very good quality.
5. The menu management is average in use, but if you download the Dell Display Manager, you can easily change the brightness, contrast, etc. settings.
Negatives:
- So far, I haven't found anything negative for my requirements.
Although I got it from a store with a subsidy I had, for the price you usually find on skroutz (plus around 170€), it is definitely worth it.
My review is about the 24-inch monitor.
I bought it a month ago for €160 final price. I come from using a television as a computer screen for the past 2 years. It is literally day and night in terms of colors and fatigue after a few hours. To be precise, after 12 hours my eyes start to sting, while with the television, I had to take a break after just 1 hour. It has amazing viewing angles and I did not notice any bothersome backlight bleeding. The screen did not come with any dead pixels (bonus), which, from what I understood from previous reviews, is a bit of a gamble for everyone. It is used for a bit of everything (browsing, movies, coding, and light gaming). For those who struggle with the controls, I would recommend downloading the Dell Display Manager. It does exactly what the controls do and has some additional features, such as different presets for organizing windows on the desktop. Personally, it didn't suit me much, as I'm used to working with workspaces, but it's good that it exists. At the first opportunity, I will proceed with the purchase of the P2419HC as I will use the daisy-chain and hope that it is as good as this one. It goes without saying that it is value for money and I recommend it! If anything changes in the future, I will come back...
I bought 2 screens together to put them side by side in a PC and they have a difference in colors. After many tests and communication with Dell support, they informed me that they consider it normal to have a difference. I find it unacceptable, it was the first time I bought Dell, probably also the last...
I do not understand how they pass quality control with such white spots in the dark.
Not only does it have screen bleed, but it is also uneven, completely ruining the experience in any movie with relatively dark scenes.
It might be suitable for office work, but for a home computer, under NO circumstances. I expected more from Dell, but it seems the rumors are exactly true.
After 4 months of daily extended use, I have to say that it is worth every penny and more. The image and color quality are very good, and it is comfortable and of high quality. You can adjust the screen position as you like. The built-in USB hub is also very convenient. If you are looking for a not-so-expensive monitor for daily extended use, I believe this is the most suitable one.
Perfect screen for the office, very well-designed and has carefully thought-out features that make its use easier than expected. It's the details that make a big difference, highly recommended for the office. (For gaming, go elsewhere)
This specific screen is restful because I spend many hours in front of the screen due to web design, Photoshop, and other applications I use for work. While the previous screen I had, I threw it away because it tired my eyes too much and I couldn't do my work. So after a lot of searching, I ended up with this one. I've had it for 3 months, so I have no problem with my eyes.
Owner of this specific monitor for about a month.
Starting off by mentioning that we are talking about a beautiful screen with very good plastic quality, minimal bezels around the screen, and a very sturdy and adjustable stand in terms of height, rotation around its axis, etc., which is very convenient when the space you place it in is limited.
I don't think it's the best for gaming as I noticed a delay in its response when it enters the fast response time mode through its menu. Specifically, I noticed some "traces" when, for example, the text in front of you changes and you scroll down the page, but not during gaming or video watching, maybe because the information in this usage changes quickly and is not perceived by the eye.
Otherwise, excellent color reproduction and many settings for all preferences in the image.
Also, a positive aspect is the USB ports it has, so it can be turned into a hub.
I highly recommend it, but not for gaming use.
It is a very good monitor with very good viewing angles (since it is IPS), instant response, and two USB 3.0 ports. It captures satisfactory colors and is good even for intense gaming. Personally, I have been using it for four months and I am very satisfied. I highly recommend it.
This is the second Dell I have purchased, excellent build quality, it has USB ports and whatever port you need to connect whatever you want, I bought it for 150 euros, there is nothing else, I researched it for almost a month, it is the ideal size, something bigger is excessive for simple use, it doesn't strain my eyes, it doesn't have any reflection from light, I connected it to a Mac mini 18
Very good screen, quite comfortable for the eyes, I can sit comfortably all day with work and movies, Netflix, etc. The base, as mentioned by other users, is fantastic. It rotates easily, which makes the screen valuable for every use! Regarding response time, I don't use it for gaming, so I don't have an opinion. I highly recommend it, especially considering its price (~150 EUR).
Update: After five months of daily use, I can say that it remains high-quality without any issues. It continues to be a great value for money, as mentioned before!
The screen is incredibly high-quality for its price (23-inch at around €150). You may find such an IPS panel at a lower price, but you won't find one with such high quality. That's the main reason why I chose it. It has a very sturdy stand, with all possible movements, and it doesn't take up much space on the desk. Of course, the panel itself is very beautiful and it made a difference compared to other TN and VA panels that I use.
As for response, I don't know what happens, I played an FPS without anything lagging in the game. However, I noticed that it also has a gaming profile in the settings.
I bought it at the price of 179 euros. VFM! The installation did not bother me at all. Also, the VESA-type stand has the ability to rotate it vertically. The panel has satisfactory colors and the 8ms response time does not bother me for the work I do (coding). The menu is user-friendly and already provides color profiles. Of course, if you know more than the average user, you can use custom profiles. Also, you don't need to put it all on the sides because you can rotate the screen from the stand. Finally, there is a USB hub that you connect to the PC with a separate cable.
Comparatively to the models in the series, the 22'' is better calibrated compared to the 23'' and 24''. As soon as you open it, there is no need to make any adjustments. The others need to be adjusted better from the graphics card, they also have more bleeding that is visible in some text and photo details. They must have slightly different panels among them. Of course, the PPI also matters. In the very positive aspects, there is excellent build quality, height adjustments, etc. Compared to the top model in the U2419H series, the differences are non-apparent, except for appearance.
I bought it mainly because of its ergonomic base and the quality of the service and warranty terms. It is recorded as a professional model, meaning durable and reliable.
It seems to me that it has a very impressive construction. The heavy base, with the ability to rotate in all axes, is extremely useful.
The almost non-existent margins on the display surface intensify this positive feeling.
I don't have the technical experience to evaluate response time or color overlap. I haven't noticed anything obviously negative, I understand that it may lag behind others, but I'm not sure if that concerns me, for office use, coding, and basic gaming relaxation.
For its price and for office functionality, I think it is unbeatable.
Finally, the provision of so many different signal inputs (HDMI, VGA, DP) is a big bonus.
As well as the provision of 2 USB 3.0 ports, on the side of the device.
This specific screen is incredible and offers great value for money!
Honestly, if I could, I would replace all the screens I have with this one.
The negatives I found are few. Among them is the viewing angle, which can be a bit blurry, especially with small letters. Also, when the PC is turned off, the screen goes into sleep mode after 4 minutes, and this is not very good. I have searched the settings and the internet for a solution, but I haven't found one.
I bought the monitor for professional office use, autocad design, but also for videos from YouTube. The monitor has incredibly vivid colors that make it particularly entertaining for YouTube videos, etc. Its size is very good and the dimensions of the image are quite large, the plastic around it is minimal compared to other monitors. Its menu is okay, it has automatic modes such as comfort (which makes white less intense), movies, games, etc. Its adjustments are okay and very useful. The only negative thing I see is sometimes the response, it may struggle a bit with low-quality videos but not excessively tragic. The second negative thing that has been mentioned in the comments is that some fonts may appear slightly blurry and come out a bit hazy.
Well guys, whoever is looking for a side monitor to have it in portrait mode, don't look elsewhere.. HERE YOU ARE! The monitor is exceptional, just like its base, which does everything. I have combined it with the Alienware AW3418DW and it fits perfectly with it. It goes up and down, rotates 180 degrees to the right and 180 degrees to the left, so you can have it in an upright position from whichever side you want. It has a very thin bezel of 0.5cm on the three sides and 1.5cm on the side where the Dell logo is. I won't mention the specs because you can easily find them. What I will tell you are the dimensions. So, the dimensions of the monitor are 49cm*29cm. In an upright position, the maximum height is 57.5cm and the minimum is 50.5cm from your desk. The stand is sturdy and its dimensions are 20.5cm*16cm. Lastly, very convenient are the 2 USB 3.0 ports it has on the side, and depending on which position you will place the monitor in portrait mode, you will find them either on the top left or bottom right.
The screen is very good, the only thing I regret is the fact that I chose a 27-inch monitor in 1080p. The ideal would have been to choose the 4K version or at least the 2K. As we all know, as the size of a screen increases, given that a resolution remains constant (e.g. 1080p), the pixels per inch (ppi) decrease. So, for future purchases, consider this factor as well. Although the ppi on this particular screen is relatively lower, it doesn't make a big difference to the eye. The image is still very good. Now, only time will tell about its durability. The IPS panel predisposes me to believe that the screen will accompany me for many years!
Nice screen. Very easy to install. Very useful feature is the automatic adjustment of windows to default patterns. The ability to rotate vertically is also very good for anyone who may need it. Good and comfortable image. It has one HDMI port, one DP port, one RGB port, and several USB ports.
Very satisfied with the screen. I mainly use it for office work and media. It is beautiful, comfortable, and very convenient. I like the rotation feature and the many USB ports it has!
I don't know if I'm so excited or if it's really amazing, but guys, it's exactly what I wanted, for many hours in front of the screen... especially if you adjust the blue color from the screen (and from the PC) to decrease, you can sit comfortably for many hours.
The base is quality and sturdy, and the screen rotates to a vertical position which is perfect if you're coding. I would easily recommend it. The only advice is to adjust the brightness from the graphics card settings
I agree with most people, the screen is pretty good, but it depends on what you want to use it for!
Indeed, it has an issue with the gray-black shades, meaning that the dark images are not as distinct (the difference is noticeable compared to the Dell laptop screen I have connected, and I couldn't fix it with the settings).
But for coding and simple browsing, which is why I got it, this doesn't bother me.
The arm/base it has is very positive, as you can adjust the height, angle, etc. That was also the reason I got it.
Certainly, for this price, you might find another brand that displays colors more vividly and doesn't have the issue with gray/black, but it depends on what you want. I preferred this one because I wanted an adjustable base. One of the positives is that it is also quite "beautiful."
Regarding the issue some people have when connecting it to a laptop and it shows multiple windows more blurry, it is NOT the screen's fault. It is a "flaw" of the Windows. After a lot of googling, I discovered that you need to have the same scale and layout percentage in the display settings of both the Windows and the laptop screens. Otherwise, it displays them blurry.
The image, colors, resolution, the fully adjustable stand, viewing angles, everything is great!
The only thing I notice is that all the windows/icons/letters seem to have zoom. I have my laptop next to it with the same resolution and when I "drag" a window and leave it half on the laptop screen and half on the Dell screen, there is a huge size difference. They seem closer on the Dell and smaller on the laptop. I think it might have to do with the resolution and screen pixels, but it doesn't bother me much!
Very good screen for work/movies/code/reading! It has been very convenient for me! Also, it's cute!
