Review this product
  • The book, Love Your Body, is written by the well-known Greek-American fitness trainer Gianna Darili. She was born and raised in New York by Greek parents. She is a graduate of the Gymnastics and Health Academy at Queens College of the City University of New York. In New York, she worked as a trainer at the aforementioned educational institution and at the Greek schools of the Archdiocese.

She has also worked as a coach for school basketball and volleyball teams, as the director of two gyms, as a private trainer, and has collaborated with physiotherapists. She came to Greece in the summer of 1994 and almost immediately gained fame working for Antenna TV and Star Channel, while recently becoming the host of the first English-language show broadcasted by the Hellenic Satellite Television.

Today, Gianna Darili has her own channel in the United States, so she permanently resides there. She hosts the show "Good Morning USA." She helps the Greek community and Greece in any way she can and has stated that she is saddened by the current situation in Greece. She visits our country quite often, but her base is now in America.

This work is a comprehensive guide for those who are considering starting to exercise, changing their diet, and improving their health. It is a work without a single mistake. Therefore, the editing of the publication is excellent. The printing is superb, the letters are clear and legible, and the font is of regular size (neither small nor large). It is a very rich and luxurious work in terms of photographic presentation.

There are many photos that beautifully depict the author herself and many photos that show either the author or other people performing strength training exercises. These photos are professionally taken and contribute greatly to creating a sense of luxury. The book has a soft cover and heavy, high-quality, glossy paper.

As for the texts themselves, they are written with great ease and directness in language. Truly, the reader feels as if they are having a friendly conversation with the author, who writes in a simple and understandable manner.

The work begins with two introductory chapters: "Love Your Body" and "What Exercise Can Offer You," which aim to inform and motivate the reader about exercise. The third chapter examines the basic body types, which are mainly determined genetically. Thus, each exerciser can know the natural advantages and disadvantages of their own body and what they can improve upon.

Mrs. Darili has made every possible effort to convey her knowledge in the field of physical education, which is now a complete science. Every term that exists is explained by the author in a particularly understandable way for everyone. The work covers all possible cases of athletes, such as children, elderly individuals, pregnant women, etc.

Her advice is very clever, as she is aware of all the possible mistakes made by those who start exercising. I was very impressed, for example, by a table in the book that shows on the left the most common bad dietary habits and on the right the way to address them.

The book contains a lot of photos with exercises for the whole body, as well as ready-made workout programs that anyone interested can follow. The 9th chapter provides specialized exercises for overcoming various musculoskeletal problems such as lumbago (lower back pain), among others.

The last chapter deals with how you can better highlight the body you have, with its weaknesses and strengths, always wearing clothes that flatter you. This chapter is addressed to both genders. It is a piece that comes from the author's involvement with fashion. The advice given in this section is truly clever and will dramatically improve the impression you make with your appearances.

At the end of the book, you will find Acknowledgments, References, bibliography, and an index. In conclusion, the book "Love Your Body" is a very comprehensive and beautiful guide, and a great opportunity for motivation and mobilization for those considering starting exercising. It has all the information you have always been looking for but possibly couldn't find about exercise. Additionally, the way it is written demonstrates the author's writing ability and overall intelligence. I hope to see more books from Mrs. Darily soon.
