Very good book!! Pleasant reading through virtual dialogues between a young person and a philosopher.

It is based on Adler's individual psychology. Even by today's standards, some revolutionary ideas are presented. For example: we are accustomed to "causal" logics (see Freud's psychoanalysis). Cause (past) -> Effect (present). Adler focuses on the present, not as a result of the past (he doesn't care about it!), but as a result of the future! In the sense that what we are now is a result of what we intend to do (teleology)! I am necessarily oversimplifying now, just to give an idea.

The goal is to lead the reader to happiness. The continuation of this book is "Dare to be Happy," which is not exactly a continuation, but rather a more focused explanation of the parameters of the first book.

It loses one star from me because I would say that the young person in the virtual dialogues could have occasionally posed more accurate objections to the philosopher and the discussion could have been more comprehensive, but if that were to happen, it would probably reveal some weaknesses (in my opinion) in the application of Adler's individual psychology.

However, I don't think it achieves its goal of leading the reader to happiness. It just didn't lose any more stars from me because, even so, it presents very useful ideas and I truly believe that it is worth reading.
