Mainalo is the tallest and largest Arcadian mountain that rises in the west of the Tripoli - Mantinea plateau. The map extends north from Alea and Mount Trachy to the Lagkadia and Tropea mountains, and south from Tripoli to Kotilio on the slopes of Lykaio and includes the entire volume of Mainalo as well as Western Mainalo and the entire basin of the Lousios River.
The map includes three hiking areas:
1. Mainalo itself with the highest peaks Prophet Elias (or Ostrakina), Tzelati, Aidini, Mavri Korifi and Mourtzia.
2. Western Mainalo, a maze of ridges and closed basins with dense forests and shrubs.
3. The area of Lousios and the Gortynian mountains.
