First of all, I have to say that I have bought 3 shaving brushes from the Italian old company Omega in recent years. The best quality, most durable brush among them is the synthetic Omega Hi-Brush Fiber Shaving Brush 112mm Black 0196712 (my review of this product is available on skroutz.gr). At the same time, it is also the most expensive. Coincidence? Maybe not. The latter has not lost a single hair.

The first brush I bought from Omega is the Omega 11574 Pura Setola (my review is available on skroutz.gr).

Both of these brushes have proven to be reliable and good over time.

But let's see the product that today's review is about.

The Omega 11150 is a beautiful brush. Its base is quite large. It is made of water-resistant, yet lightweight, light brown wood.

The bristle is the smallest I have seen so far. However, if you use it for a few shaves, the bristle will "open up" quite a bit. At first, I thought that this narrow bristle was a disadvantage.

However, when I started shaving with the Omega 11150, I realized that due to the small volume of the bristles, it spreads the Noxzema shaving foam for tough beards (my review of this foam is available on skroutz.gr) more accurately. It doesn't easily go into my ears like the other two thicker brushes I have.

At the base of the bristle, there is a golden-colored metal. I can't tell if it's real gold, but it looks like it.

You should know that boar bristle brushes are the most economical. Compared to expensive badger or synthetic brushes, they are sturdy, durable, and require little maintenance.

When I wet the brush for the first time in warm water, it immediately gave off a very intense and somewhat unpleasant smell of pig. But they say that this only happens if you haven't used it at all. If you shave with this brush 4-5 times, this bad smell completely disappears. And then, a divine aroma emerges.

Know this. Before you shave with a boar bristle brush, immerse the brush in a small cup of lukewarm water for about 10 minutes. Then take it out of the cup, squeeze it to remove all the water, and then shave.

This process will soften the brush over time. Because boar bristle brushes are the hardest.

The black letters with the Omega logo on the wood of the Omega 11150 brush did not fade at all, as happened to me with the synthetic brush, Omega Hi-Brush Fiber Shaving Brush 112mm Black 0196712.

It would also be good to buy a special brush stand, such as the inexpensive Muhle Rh6 (my review is available on skroutz.gr), to dry it with greater safety.

Let's also look at the downsides of the Omega 11150 brush. Unfortunately, after 3 shaves, the brush has lost about 6-7 hairs. Something that I hope will not continue.

Because I will have to throw away the brush. And it's so beautiful that I really feel sorry for it.

Although the Omega 11574 also lost a few hairs, after a certain point, it stopped shedding. The same may happen with the Omega 11150. I hope so. Otherwise, if it breaks, I will revise my current review in the future.

Its price is reasonable for the quality that this product offers to men.

In conclusion, I recommend this product. It is wonderful in appearance and has a decent bristle. And its quality, seems important.

Enjoy your shaves with your new brush!
