Egypt is under attack...

Pharaoh Tamose has been mortally wounded. The ancient city of Luxor is surrounded. Everything seems lost.

Taita prepares for the final, deadly assault of the enemy. The former slave, now a general in Tamose's armies, shows his genius when all hope seems gone. And Egypt is now at its most critical moment.

An old ally appears at the most opportune moment, the situation reverses, and the Egyptian army annihilates the retreating enemy. However, returning victorious to Luxor, Taita is arrested and accused of treason.
Tamose is dead, and a new era filled with poison begins. A new pharaoh has ascended to the throne.

Pharaoh Utteric is young, weak, and harsh, and he is threatened by Taita's influence within the palace—especially by his friendship with Ramses, Utteric's younger and much worthier brother. When Taita is imprisoned, Ramses is forced to make a choice: to renounce his brother and help Taita escape, or to remain silent and accept Utteric's tyranny.
For a good man like Ramses, there is no choice. He must free Taita, stop Utteric, and reclaim Egypt.
