I give it 5 stars because it is literally flawless.
It runs flawlessly no matter what program you run, even the heaviest ones.
Multitasking is not a problem when it is focused on the main window, and even with 100 open in the background, I don't notice that they are open.
I have done image editing, video editing, and it is quite fast (in video) the image is ready in less than a second. (Even in 8K)
Even with VirtualBox running and using resources, and with video editing software open, it still works perfectly. It continues to function as if nothing is running.

The cooling fan included in the box is completely silent, although when the computer turns on, it makes a slight tick that you can't hear unless you are right next to it.

Coming from a Ryzen 7 1700x, I can say that this processor is much better in every aspect! Some people claim that there are small differences that you might not notice, but that's a lie! I use my computer for various purposes such as gaming, video editing, photo editing, YouTube, streaming, DJing, lighting programs, and many more, and in all of these tasks, it performs exceptionally well compared to the 1700x. I have it paired with an Asus Rog Crosshair VI Hero motherboard and 2 G.Skill 8GB RAM sticks running at 3200MHz. The machine is very stable, even without overclocking, and it can handle any RAM you throw at it, up to 3600MHz. In my case, they worked perfectly at 3200MHz, while with the 1700x, I experienced blue screens with the same RAM. It is the best in terms of price and quality. The included cooler does its job well, but it's nothing extraordinary. I personally use it with an NZXT X62 cooler and have manually overclocked it because the automatic settings only increase temperatures without any significant improvement. Currently, the processor runs at 4.22GHz with 1.37 volts and temperatures ranging from 30 to 70 degrees Celsius, using Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste. It is incredibly stable without any crashes or issues. Without overclocking, I can say that it runs slightly hotter because it operates at 1.45 volts and sometimes reaches 1.50 volts, which is unnecessary considering the frequency of the processor is at 3.9GHz with 1.45 volts, which is already high. The only downside is that the 1700x was cooler as a processor, but it was much more troublesome, especially when overclocking. I spent two years trying to stabilize it, whereas with the 2700x, it only took me two days to fix it, and I haven't had any issues for four months now. The same goes for RAM. With the 1700x, I had to change three sets of RAM to find ones that would work. With the 2700x, it doesn't matter if it's RAM for AMD or Intel; it will work flawlessly. If you're primarily focused on gaming, go for the 3600x. However, if you want to play games while simultaneously exporting videos, streaming, or running various background tasks, I highly recommend the 2700x due to its higher core count. I bought it for 150€, and it's the best option for the price.
The only negative thing I can find about this processor is the cooler, which sometimes sounds louder than usual. Other than that, it is an amazing processor
I did not give a grade because I considered it unnecessary with so many reviews.
If I can find a negative, it is the TEMP Max 85c compared to the Ryzen 7 processors with a TEMP max of 95c.
Among the AMD 8-core processors, it is definitely the most value for money when it is below 200
This is the first time I choose an AMD processor. I used to be a loyal buyer of Intel and I decided to buy from this specific company for the first time.
100% satisfied with the performance of the processor. Its work involves image and video editing, gaming, and overall I have put it through a lot of stress. Of course, it works in collaboration with the Corsair h150i extreme liquid cooling system and it has never reached high temperatures. Overall, it has never let me down as a processor!
Very good, I bought it 6 months ago to replace my Ryzen 3 2200g and I have no complaints. I got it for 180€, so I gave it 4 stars since its price has increased.
For some strange reason, even though I see different temperatures for stress tests (4.3Ghz 100% on all cores with stock cooler), mine does not exceed 62 degrees. In a Cougar MX330g case with 5 fans with 38.4 CFM (AKASA AK-274CR-4RDS QUIET 120MM RED) and room temperature of about 23 degrees. I don't know what will happen in the summer.
I have had it in my possession since 2019, yes I waited so long to write. Words are not enough for this monster, it has a lot of power, worth every euro, definitely not now at 280 that I see it. Take it without fear when its price drops even more, guys, it's simply amazing.
I have it built with a b450 steel legend and it is very good. I bought it for about 170 and for that price, it is definitely worth it. It handles multitasking satisfactorily, with the only issue being the temperature, which always stays within safe limits, close to 71 degrees during heavy gaming. However, it can cause your motherboard to increase temperatures if you don't have good airflow. It is a very good processor for under 200 euros, but I would recommend changing the cooling system as soon as possible because it could be better and much quieter. However, it works perfectly fine with the stock cooler
I bought it only for gaming. I don't use it for anything else. I have it paired with a 5700XT and 16 gigabytes of DDR4 3200MHz RAM. One thing I want to say without going into too much detail is that it is the best in its price range. It plays games from 2019 and 2020 (like Cyberpunk 2077) and maxes out the 5700XT without going over 50% of its capacity (without overclocking). It is worth much more than any Intel processor at its price. And with the extra cores, it might be better than the Ryzen 5 3600
I give it three stars because its price does not justify it. Some people are getting richer from 170 to 233 in 20 days, something is not right, someone is stealing. It has become worse than the stock market. As a processor, it is very good.
For the price I bought it for, €179 (27/11/2020), it's worth every penny. However, don't expect increased performance without proper cooling. The point is that compared to its Intel counterpart (4790k), it surpasses it. That matters...

Pay attention to what BIOS your motherboard has. I discovered that the performance SOARS the more "outdated" the BIOS is. I installed the October 2019 BIOS for the MSI B450 Tomahawk Max and it works OPTIMALLY (agesa 1.0.0.3abba). Perhaps an even older BIOS will work even better. What I mean is that the processor doesn't particularly increase frequencies and doesn't work well with its power. From seeing 4075/4050 on the cores in games, I now see 4200/4175mhz. The performance in Cinebench has improved. This must happen because when AMD releases a new agesa for a new generation of processors, it optimizes the BIOS for that NEW generation. I CAN'T HAVE ANY OTHER EXPLANATION. I hope I helped.
Whoever got it before the terrible inflation in prices is lucky. From now on, expect it to go up even more. Personally, I bought it for 200 euros, a great price in my opinion. It's a beast, you should know that. It doesn't have a tremendous single core, but it has a very powerful multi-core. I recommend using the Vulkan API instead of DX11-12 because it's not so single core-based and uses multi-core rendering more wisely, so you won't see any bottleneck. I'm looking to get a GPU, but I don't know when because the prices are outrageous and I don't know what to do either. I was considering getting an RX5600XT, but I'll probably get a used GTX 1070ti-1080-1080ti. We'll see, it's a shame.
This masterpiece, I could say, I have been using it for 2 months and it is quite satisfactory for its price... in gaming, it doesn't hold back, although there are better processors for heavy games. However, in editing, it has taken it to another level. I have normal temperatures around 60 with the mama cooler
Purchased on 12/18 for 300 euros to build a PC for my son. At that time, the camps were divided. Today, AMD offers a plethora of CPUs for all budgets and requirements, resulting in the balance leaning towards the red camp both in and out of Greece. Combined with an MSI GTX 1080 Ti and G.Skill Flare X 3200 CAS 14. With a Noctua NH-D15 and 6 fans in the case, idle temperature is 40-45 degrees, games run at 50+ degrees, and stress tests reach a maximum of 62 degrees. It operates for 15 hours daily. The motherboard is an X470 Aorus Gaming 7 (1.1). It still works with the original BIOS. If I were to start today, I would still choose this one, depending on the requirements, of course.

During peak hours (approximately 15,000 requests per minute), it reaches 80-85% usage.
It has never crashed or caused any other issues.

I have the 2700X for 2 years now and I can say that while running multiple heavy applications simultaneously (Adobe Premiere and After Effects), it performs very well, usually at 4GHz with temperatures around 60 degrees (the videos I edit are in 4K resolution). For the requirements of the 2020 applications, I would recommend a 3700X or higher, and in combination with a 2070 or higher, it can definitely handle a lot. The Wraith Prism Cooler is the most efficient air cooler fan I have encountered.

Even today, when there is a newer generation, it is a beast enclosed in a metallic casing. It doesn't need anything to be tampered with regarding overclocking. It levels everything automatically.

I have had this processor for 3 months and I have to say that I am very satisfied, but at one point it was priced at $300 while I had bought it for $200. I have to say that if you get this processor, you will be satisfied. I recommend finding it for $200. The cooler is good with RGB, BUT the only negative thing I have is the temperature, which is so-so, but it's manageable. I recommend buying it!
At the price of 184 euros that I bought it (1 month ago), it is quite good value for money and very fast with low temperatures (gaming use).. the RGB is very nice and worth it.
Awesome processor!! I got it mainly for editing and it's a beast, it doesn't lag anywhere... Especially in rendering, I am extremely satisfied with this purchase!!! When I got it, it was 195 and now it's 300+, I believe the price is a bit steep now, but for the 195 I paid, it was worth it more than you can imagine
The truth is that the processor is amazing. But it is definitely not worth the 300 euros it costs. A couple of months ago, it dropped significantly to almost 180. It is preferable to go for a Ryzen 5 3600 or 3600x since there is not a huge difference, not to mention they are better for gaming. Of course, if it drops back to around 200, don't hesitate to grab it. Good luck!
Well first of all, I managed to get it first - price around 200 - secondly, it's a beast, incredibly powerful in single thread rating and we don't even need to discuss its performance in multi-threaded tasks. The stock cooler (wraith prism) is also very good, with its RGB lighting. It's very fast in encoding with Handbrake, and it supports the AVX2 instruction for x265. It automatically adjusts itself with the balanced power plan to prevent overheating when idle. It can do everything. It's my first time using an AMD processor, previously I had a Xeon 5450, and it's like day and night, videos on YouTube at 1080p@60fps x2 are smooth as butter without hardware acceleration
With 200 euros, you can get a beast either for gaming or editing. Its cooler is gorgeous. I run it at 3.9Ghz.
In games, with a 5600xt, I run AC Odyssey ultra at 56 fps.
AC Origins ultra at 65 fps. Hitman 2 ultra at 110 fps. Fortnite at 165 fps.
The only downside is that temperatures can reach up to 85 degrees. So, with a good overclocking, you will definitely need a better cooler.
