The Grotlin in your house at night
twists and turns in the dark...
But be careful, don't get confused!
The eye sees, whatever you think.
What is the mysterious Grotlin? What kind of creature is it that roams the entire city, scaring everyone in its path?
In his brand new book, Benji Davies presents an atmospheric story with rhymes and many characters that will confirm in the most unexpected way the phrase "appearances can be deceiving"...

I wasn't impressed while we liked Noy for example. Nice design. A bit dark but we liked it. I didn't like the story.
At 2.5, one of the two little ones was a bit scared of it, but after a few months, she likes it quite a bit. It is the only rhyming book we have, and it is very funny. The illustrations are dark, which again is the only such dark book we have, but it is beautiful and interesting
Wonderful illustrations. A bit dark for small children and the story is not fully understandable by a small child.
Excellent story, one of the most interesting with a similar ending, we have all of them from the same author, it keeps the interest and has beautiful illustrations! Smart and entertaining!
Wonderful with very inspired illustrations!!! My 2-year-old son liked it a lot and we read it many times!
Short and with a simple story, it shows us that things are not always what they seem! It has meaning and a good ending, I recommend it
Atmospheric and with measured verse, with unique illustrations from our favorite author-illustrator, it has become one of our favorite books. I would recommend it for children aged 1.5-4 years because it has a small amount of text. While it initially appears a bit dark, the illustrations play a nice game with shadows to end with "be careful not to get confused, the eye sees what you think", teaching that things are not always as they seem.
Another book by this author that was loved immediately by my 3-year-old daughter and she wants us to read it every day. Both the rhyming text and the vibrant illustrations keep the child's interest.
Another excellent book by the author. Victorian atmosphere of mystery, playing with light and shadows. Excellent performance in rhyme. And the ending... imaginative and wonderful!

Very good but a little scary. My kids are 3 and 6 and both get scared!
