I bought the helmet in September '19. During the first lockdown, I didn't use the motorcycle, so I have been using the helmet for a little over a year. After such a long time, I have noticed the following negatives:
1) The ventilation is negligible. It has a small vent in the front and one at forehead level. It doesn't let in much air, especially at speeds up to 70-80 km/h, but all helmets in a similar price range that I have tried don't have significant ventilation either. So it is expected to have this level of ventilation in this price category.
2) The lack of a sun visor is another negative. Of course, you can wear sunglasses, but the sun has never been so intense that I needed to use them, so I don't know if the helmet is comfortable with glasses. Of course, opinions differ on the use of regular sunglasses, and indirectly, the store advised me not to prefer them.
3) After such a long time, with daily use for more than 3 hours every day, the foam lining for impact protection has shown signs of wear from use. I don't know if it's due to my incorrect usage or natural wear and tear. I also don't know if it still provides the promised protection compared to a new one.
As for the positives, I will mention the following:
1) Its aerodynamics are excellent for its price category. It has negligible noise at speeds up to 120 km/h (according to the speedometer) that I have used it, even with the visor open in the city, there is almost no noise. Compared to the next helmet from the same brand (thunder 3), where the noise was unbearable, in a helmet I used for a week, with the visor open, there was no noise even at 60 km/h.
2) The padding has not suffered any damage at all after so much use and daily removal and insertion. It is very resistant to friction and does not affect the user's face at all. Personally, I consider the quality of the helmet's interior lining to be its biggest positive.
3) I installed a pinlock on the visor from the first few days, so it has never fogged up. This is how pinlock works on all helmets, I just want to explain that there is no compromise in quality on the helmet's visor and pinlock compared to other helmets.
4) The negative aspect of the ventilation in cold months can be seen as a positive. During winter, there was never a time when I felt unbearable cold coming from the helmet. At the same time, during summer, there was also never a time when I felt uncomfortable with the heat inside the helmet. So despite the reduced airflow from the vents, it didn't bother me at all, and I don't know if I could consider it a negative aspect of the helmet since it ultimately doesn't bother me that it has these vents.
5) Finally, its appearance. The helmet is quite nice, and I have heard very good things about its appearance from friends. Of course, we buy a helmet for the protection it provides, but appearance is something that may interest someone.
In summary, the negatives are expected, and I knew them when I bought it. For its price, it is more than good, as it is a helmet that, as it seems, is durable and will last at least 2 years (maybe even longer) with a small cost. For continuous daily use, I didn't want to buy a more expensive helmet that, if it fell, would render it useless. Also, from the little use of the thunder 3, which I was considering buying because of the sun visor and the slightly larger air vents, it seemed that the targo excels greatly in terms of aerodynamics and for this reason I would not recommend the thunder 3. However, opinions are relative and may not apply to the thunder 3 in general, just what I tried had this issue. In conclusion, I would recommend the helmet to anyone looking for something economical that meets the requirements for protection in falls and generally accidents, but for someone who wants something for trips, I would recommend choosing something else. Sorry if I tired you, I tried to analyze from my own perspective as analytically as possible my experience with the helmet all this time.
