Overall, I am a big fan of Quantic Dream as I have played both Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, and I have to say that I did not expect anything less! The characters are amazing and so is the storyline, as it conveys so much anxiety and suspense about how the game will unfold according to your choices. Another fantastic game from Quantic Dream that never ceases to impress me!
Tremendous graphics and a tremendous storyline. Especially in terms of graphics, it may be one of the best for PS4, while the storyline is like watching a movie and wanting to see the end. Plus, you can replay it with different decisions, which actually lead to a different storyline. It's not a coincidence that if you ask friends, etc. who have played it, they will tell you a different ending, etc. However, there is no gameplay, you just press buttons and the most extreme thing you do is find a clue, etc. Essentially, the gameplay has been created to continue the story and not just be a movie that only plays on PS4. For the price I see it at, 19 and 20€, it's not worth it at all. But for the occasional offer of 9.90€, yes.
It is my favorite game. It has amazing graphics and its story is perfect. There are so many choices that you can play it from the beginning 4 times and not have seen all the possible developments
It is not a newly released game since it came out for PS4 in 2016. However, on PS5, it looks amazing. Stunning visuals and atmospheric sound. It ends relatively quickly, but you can play again and again if you want to see different endings depending on your choices.
Recently, I also played Man of Medan, which is similar in concept but does not have the variety of choices that Detroit has.
If you enjoy this genre of games, Detroit is the best thing out there so far.
Well... I was late to play this game, as I am writing my opinion in October 2022!!
For those expecting a game like God of War, Ghost Recon, Horizon Zero Dawn, etc., it has nothing to do with them! Yes, indeed, if you sit for a whole day, you can finish it! However, you can play it again, giving different answers and changing the flow of the game! Excellent, and I wonder why it's not among the hits of the PS. At this price, get it with closed eyes! I found it for €9.90 in a well-known store
Quite interesting and original game! Nicely set up, the story evolves through your choices without becoming boring like others. I really enjoyed it and it had its messages too.
I had never played a game like this before and I can say that I quite liked it - I killed them all with my choices, of course, but I believe in the next gameplay I will save them. For those who enjoy this type of game, you will love it - it has a nice sci-fi story too
What can I say about this amazing game... I finished it last summer, but now I found some free time and willingness to evaluate it.
As for the graphics and sound, there's no need to talk about them. On a 4K TV, the game looked perfect, and the sound was flawless.
What makes sense for someone to talk about is obviously the original and captivating story of the game. Truly one of the best I've played, I finished it twice, with two different endings. The game is very emotional, but also action-packed. It depends, of course, on each person's approach and choices. After finishing it twice, I can say that I felt emotionally connected to the characters throughout the game.
The game is amazing, get it.
It lasted only one weekend, but you can replay it many times, with different scenarios and different choices. Very entertaining, even for the spectators!
Very nice game style, adventure type with hints of action, and an alternative - futuristic well-constructed storyline.
I regretted not getting the Greek version (subtitles/menus) because my children liked it too.
What a great game this is! Incredible experience with images and moments that often follow me closely, as they have been engraved. I won't talk about the game as most have analyzed it thoroughly. What I will say though is that you definitely see images from the future... Distant or close, I don't know. As I think that if I hadn't played the demo, I wouldn't even know it, I truly go crazy.
Fantastic choice-based game, it conveys powerful messages of a dystopian yet not unlikely future and unfolds the wretchedness and decadence of the human species with our self-destructive primitive behaviors and the consequences of neoliberalism to the fullest. The game is thought-provoking.
It has two levels depending on the weight you want your decisions to have. Regardless, it's not easy to make the right choices in order to save the protagonists as you struggle with ethical, logical, and instinctual issues in the few seconds you have to decide. To have a more complete experience, you will need to replay the game or its chapters, especially if you want to chase platinum. Well-crafted with multiple scenarios, and for those who want to see it all, the game can provide several extra hours.
The graphics are very good and modern, they lack nothing to accurately reproduce the scenarios in a futuristic landscape.
The only possible negative, as others have described, is that the gameplay doesn't offer much and is simple in points where some users may get bored. Personally, it didn't bother me because I believe that's not its purpose and it better simulates what it's like to step into the shoes of robots.
I love futuristic scenarios and topics like cyborgs, androids, etc., so the game was a gem for me and I highly recommend it to anyone interested, no doubt!
Detroit: Become Human is, if not the best, one of the best decision-making games ever released (and I have played many).
Epic storyline that keeps you captivated throughout the game, with twists and unexpected moments. The choices you make are crucial for the continuation of the story and play a huge role (compared to other games of its kind).
The graphics are also remarkable, even though the game mainly relies on its plot.
Finally, the gameplay is average.
I recommend it to every gamer out there who wants to enjoy a wonderful story and at the same time play an amazing game!
I would generally say that it is an adventure game worth the effort. Normally, I wouldn't give it 4 stars but 4.5.
Certainly, it is not something unprecedented or amazing - like when Rain came out on consoles, for example. However, in general, its sci-fi stories are very interesting and interactive.
I wish we could see more games like this on our screens, I believe. Impeccable graphics, nice branching stories, nice dialogues, and mediocre gameplay
Today I just platinumed it and I decided to write my opinion. Let's start with the characters, there are 3: Kara, an android cleaner who is in a house with a little girl and her drug-addicted father, Connor, an android detective who hunts deviants and is on the side of humans, and Markus, who is the most important character, an assistant caretaker who later becomes ra9 (the leader of the revolution against humans).
I can say that I liked the plot and how everything is connected. There are more than 5 different endings and many good and bad choices that can cost you. Different murders that you have to bring to light, different changes between the side characters based on what you choose, some will hate you, others will love you. Now, for the collectibles, it's a bit difficult to get 100% since they are magazines that are inside the maps. Also, some of them you have to unlock by replaying the story with different choices. For example, if you kill an important person, there will be a different magazine compared to if you let them live.
Now, for the features, the sound is flawless, the graphics are amazing, everything is very detailed. There are no technical problems, I didn't encounter any glitches or crashes (I played on a PS4 slim). I believe it's worth the 16 euros
The game is simply epic, depending on the answers you give, the story unfolds differently and the events change. The game may not be visually stunning, but it is a gem for your collection.
Amazing game, with multiple choices in the story. You get attached to the characters, the story is captivating, showing a very possible future and makes you think. Very nice graphics and sound. Every PlayStation owner should have it in their library.
One of the very positive aspects is the ability to play all the game's scenarios and enjoy the game even more. Hopefully, more games like this will come out.
Let's not forget that Quantic Dream has also released the unforgettable Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls. This says it all.
Awesome game, possibly the best game I have ever played with a lot of thought and many truths, it really touched me a lot... Get it, guys! Just play it right, make the right decisions (the game is way ahead!!) We want more games like Detroit Become Human!!!
Maybe the best single player game out there and one of the best games overall, and this comes from someone who is generally not a big fan of single player games. It's worth 100% for the characters and the amount the game depends on you, from the graphics to the music
Unbelievable game if you don't try to make it 100%! Once you get caught up in trying to achieve 100%, it becomes incredibly boring, annoying, and tiresome gaming! Have your mobile phones, tablets, laptops, whatever everyone has, next to you. It has so many locked scenes that it takes a lot of time and repetitions to unlock them all, and with all the incredible things I mentioned above, like the stormy night chapter! To recover from the boredom and frustration, load up MGS5, kill everyone and everything, become a demon and instantly feel better. As for the extras, the amazing questionnaire with the 10 questions, just so we know the opinion of the public about this society with robots and the over X billion inhabitants of an overheated planet!!
Very very nice game!
Beautiful and emotional story, which can take a completely different turn depending on your choices.
The graphics are more than impressive.
It's worth it.
I took the courage to write a review for the game, and I believe that my opinion counts a little more than the others. Personally, I am not one of those people who play this kind of games, but this particular one, from the moment it showed me only the graphics, its presence, and how I should make my decisions, I really loved it. It is very well-crafted, a lot of work has been put into it, and it is quite remarkable, I would say, in the game. It hits you straight in the emotions, to discover it and explore it. Truly one of the TOP!! single-player games I have played, it is worth even more for everyone to try it out!!!
One of the best games I have played on the PS4 and overall one of the best games I have ever played. Essentially, we are talking about an absolutely interactive 3D movie that is quite realistic. The graphics are objectively the best I have seen, as allowed by the genre of the game, with exceptional sound effects and music. The gameplay, although you don't have much to do other than move around, examine objects, and make various choices, is exactly as it should be for this type of game. The story and the overall atmosphere touch on a subject that wouldn't surprise me if it became a reality. The events take place in the not-so-distant future of 2038 with absolute realism and it makes us think about humanity, ethics, the consequences of violence, the raw management of crises by a state, as well as many other social issues in this possible scenario of technological/human evolution. The game evolves based on the choices we make and leads to three (from what I have seen so far) different endings. After the first ending, we can access each chapter separately if we want and play again by choosing different options. This can also be done during the first playthrough, but it would be best to avoid it. The different choices not only determine the ending but also generally lead to different paths and scenes in the story, so it is difficult to determine the duration since I am sure that we will all engage with each chapter of the story more than once and multiple times individually. I hope that similar games will be released, I am already thinking of trying the two corresponding previous games from the company. Finally, I would like to note that it is a great honor for us that the game has a Greek menu and flawless Greek subtitles.
Excellent game with an amazing story that evolves according to the choices (and there are plenty of them). The graphics are fantastic, the sound is stunning, and the actors are very good in their roles.
P.S. In the PC version, be careful with the drivers because in some versions, the crashes are frequent.
If this particular game was a movie, it would truly be the best thing I have ever seen in my life. However, as a game, I have to say the following: the graphics are perfection, the story is the best I have seen in a PS game, but the gameplay is truly awful and that's an understatement. You do nothing but talk and do a little walking, truly terrible
One of the best games that you can play on PlayStation. The points of the story that can change depending on the choices are so many that no matter how many times you play it, I don't think you will get bored. The story and the structure of the game are such that every time you can't wait to see how it will end.
One of the best games I have played, graphics are very good, the story is unbelievable, you won't get bored and your choices determine the next minute as well as the game's story. I recommend playing it without a doubt, it's worth every penny and your time.
