  • The oil is excellent for its price. I was a bit dissatisfied because it doesn't have a strawberry scent, but it doesn't bother me personally. Anyway, the oil is not the best on the market. The best is Motul 800, followed by Motul 710, then Castrol Power 1 Racing, and then Ipone Scoot Run 2 in my opinion.

  • Ipone scoot run2 with strawberry... First of all, when it comes to two-stroke engines, the choice of oil brand is important. You need to find out which one works best for your bike because the carburetor adjustment, fuel, air, mixture ratio, piston metal type, etc. all play a role in 2T engines. So, don't rely solely on reviews, as each one can have a different outcome. If you read reviews of branded oils for 2T engines, you will understand that one person may say a certain oil is good while another may say it's not.

A basic rule is that if you constantly ride at full throttle or take long trips at high speeds, you should use an oil with a high flash point (above 150C). These oils are designed to provide better lubrication at high RPMs and for extended periods of riding. If you ride slowly, for example in traffic or moderate distances for fuel economy, you should use an oil with a low flash point (below 120C). This allows it to burn more easily and provide better lubrication. If you frequently start your engine when it's cold, also check the viscosity at 40C to be below 50C or around 60C, as it won't be as thick and will provide better lubrication during cold starts.

Now, regarding my Derbi Senda R 1999 for city riding, which involves frequent stops and starts, and because it's an old bike, I don't ride it as aggressively as before, especially on straight roads. I now use scooter oils because they are supposed to be designed for high and low RPMs, cold starts, etc. The Ipone scoot run2 produces much less smoke than other oils I've tried when I ride at full throttle (in general, I always use a bit more oil for 2T engines, whether it's for motorcycles, lawnmowers, chainsaws, etc.). It doesn't clog and doesn't produce black stains on the exhaust (unburned fuel mixed with oil), so it seems to provide better lubrication. It also performs well at low RPMs, as I can hear from the engine sound, and it responds better to throttle inputs.

The flash point is 116C, the viscosity index is 140C, and the viscosity at 40C is 63C. The one I got is blue and compatible for mixing in the fuel tank with an oil pump (separate oil tank) injection system. What sets it apart from others is the strawberry scent. The smell is quite pleasant and the group of friends likes it. When the bottle is closed, the strawberry scent is released (because it's still concentrated), but when it's mixed with the fuel, the bike doesn't always have a strong smell. It depends on the type of fuel, mixture ratio, throttle position, how much the piston/exhaust burns, and how much smoke it produces. In my case, where I haven't cleaned the carburetor in a while, it still smells like strawberry.

(ATTENTION: If it doesn't have the red letters in the middle on the bottle, it's not the strawberry version.)

For its price, the Ipone scoot run2 is definitely a reliable oil. It's 100% fully synthetic made from esters (many say esters are the best synthetics). It definitely provides proper lubrication as it has been tested on several engines and has JASO FD approval with license code 033IPN003, which means it has been officially checked and the company has had successful races (Samourai and Red Bull). It's definitely not just any random oil, as long as you choose the right type for your routes and usage with this brand
