  Useless and the store won't take it back because I opened one of the plastic wraps. It doesn't find the new Cosmote routers in two different houses on two different PCs. We changed settings on the router and contacted OTE support. We wasted 3 hours and in the end, it's just garbage. And the funny thing is that everyone sells it as good!!   I used it for the first time on my W7 desktop and it was stable, fast, and reliable. Until now, I haven't even considered changing it for any other Windows operating system. It just works and I forget about it. I have even gotten rid of the Ethernet cable because it doesn't offer me anything more that I need. I don't remember how much I bought it for, but it was definitely worth the money. If it ever broke, I would buy the same one again.

  In Ubuntu, the installation and proper functioning of it is almost impossible and tp-link only provides beta drivers.

  In Windows 8.1, it is relatively good and stable without any problems with the Windows drivers.

  In Windows 10 (1709/1803/1809), it significantly delays the computer from entering Windows (+7 extra seconds, which as soon as you remove it, it enters directly). At least 2-3 disconnections per week, which usually requires removing it from the USB port and plugging it into another.

  Overall, a great disappointment, and I chose it because I had the v2 model which had no problems and I was very satisfied.

  Purchased on 19/02 for use on a brand new Win10 system.

  In March, it suddenly lost network connection and when I tried to reconnect, I got an icon saying it was not connected and it gave me the Blue Screen of Death with the message DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL and the problematic file rtwlanu.sys. After researching, I found that this specific file is related to the Wi-Fi adapter.

  From there on, the problems started pouring in. From one disconnection per week, we went to 5 per day and lately things have gotten much worse. In 3 instances on the same day, I had 5 disconnections within 10 minutes. Having 15 disconnections in a day is like not having internet at all. It's worth noting that every time there was a disconnection, I couldn't reconnect unless I did a troubleshoot and "coincidentally" every time the troubleshooter reset the adapter, I would find a connection.

  Obviously, I thought that the drivers were the problem, so I attempted to update them from the control panel, where it showed that I had the latest version. I went to the TP-Link website and discovered that there was a more recent driver (November 2018). To install it, I had to unjustifiably uninstall the old driver manually and then install the new one (even the Nvidia drivers, which are 10 times larger files, automatically delete the older version). After the update, the disconnections have decreased in frequency, but today alone I've had 7 so far. WPS doesn't make a difference. In fact, it makes the troubleshooter take more time to solve the problem.

  I will contact TP-Link's technical support tomorrow and update my review, but I would say to stay away. The only thing that works correctly is the USB extension cable that was included.

  I have been using it for a few days on my HP desktop computer. My operating system is Linux Mint. As soon as I plugged it into the USB port, it detected the networks, without me having to install anything. The downside is that the signal strength fluctuates between 30-60% at a distance of only 3 meters from the router. And this is even in the same room!   EDIT 17-MAY-2018: In the end, either I got a faulty device or unfortunately the product is completely unreliable. After installing the official TP-Link drivers, the next day my Windows displayed the message "The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and Windows does not recognise it". I plugged and unplugged it three times until it was finally recognized. However, since then, the speed and the communication issues with the router reappeared, just like in the beginning (description in EDIT 10-MAY-2018). Whenever you open any browser, it may load the first page you visited, but as soon as you open a new tab with a new address (wherever you go), it loses connection to the internet. It never connects again, anywhere. The Windows icon in the tray always shows full signal and never indicates "no internet"... But there is no internet!! I returned it to the store where I bought it and they told me it works fine for them... I didn't bother anymore, I lost my trust and got my money back. From what I read on the internet, Realtek controllers are very problematic in combination with Windows 10 - I will try to avoid them in my next purchase...

  INITIALLY: I bought it for my desktop computer (AMD Ryzen 5 1600, 16GB RAM, Windows 10 Home 64bit 1803). Unbelievable Plug & Play: as soon as I plugged it into the USB, in 1 second (no exaggeration) it displayed the available networks in the Windows tray! The Windows didn't even need to install or recognize new hardware... Full signal (full bar + 3 lines) from a distance of 2m from the router. The package includes a CD with Drivers for Windows and MAC, User manual, and a 1m (thick) USB 2.0 28AWG cable for extension/transfer. For those who use Linux, its Hardware ID is USB\VID_2357&PID_0107&REV_0200 and if I understood correctly from the drivers that Windows automatically installed, it uses the Realtek RTL8192EU controller. So far, I can't give it anything less than excellent due to its impeccable value for money at €8.74 that I bought it for!!!

  EDIT 10-MAY-2018: After 2-3 restarts/shutdowns of Windows, the internet connection started to become very slow (almost non-existent) despite having full signal. I downloaded the latest drivers from here https://www.tp-link.com/us/download/TL-WN821N.html#Driver, installed them (without the WPS app that it asked me at the end), and everything seems to be working fine so far... If anything changes, I will update!
