Connected to the Sony 55XG7077 TV via a single HDMI cable (ARC - audio return channel) to the HDMI ARC port of the TV and it plays louder than the optical fiber cable connection. The control (power on/off, volume, input change) is done through the TV remote, so I saved myself from using the soundbar remote.
The audio upgrade compared to the TV's built-in speakers is significant, especially for movies, series, and music shows. However, since the soundbar is a 2.0 type without a subwoofer, there is a lack of low frequencies - bass. But I didn't have space and wanted to get rid of the subwoofer box. The important thing is that it sounds good and clear at maximum volume, and what makes it unique is that it has tweeters (25 mm) in addition to the woofers (48 mm × 90 mm) for the high frequencies. The fact that it is relatively wide, 90 cm in length, and not narrow gives me better stereo sound because the speakers are more spaced apart. Fortunately, it fits between the legs of the TV stand, and because it is not very tall, it does not cover the bottom part of the screen.
Additionally, for movies, it supports Dolby Digital decoding through the HDMI and optical ports, known as Dolby AC-3. Dolby Digital content is common on streaming platforms like Netflix, Blu-ray discs, etc.
I also connect my mobile wirelessly via Bluetooth (version 4.2) and listen to my music with a fuller sound. And because it has a USB port, I can also listen to music files with WAV, MP3, WMA encoding. Furthermore, the information from the USB is displayed on the TV screen. If my TV had Bluetooth, I would try connecting the soundbar wirelessly via Bluetooth since the soundbar supports the A2DP profile.
Something I would like is a screen that shows input sources and functions, it only has LED lights on the front side that do not bother with their brightness. I can also control the soundbar without a remote using the buttons on the top. It also has notches on the back for wall mounting and an infrared repeater function in case it covers the TV's infrared receiver. It is structurally sturdy, and it has rubber pads on the bottom left and right to keep the soundbar stable and prevent it from rattling when playing at maximum volume. It is also in a matte dark gray color and does not create reflections from the surrounding lighting.
In the box, it came with an optical fiber cable, batteries, a power cable, and user instructions in Greek. The store mentioned a 2-year warranty. I declare myself satisfied.
