In 1982, Sony introduced us to "Perfect Sound Forever" and the mentality that "it's just digital, so all CD players sound the same." This was proven wrong, and the quality differences between players became an accepted truth. Then came the separate combinations of transport and DAC, which led to the perception that "all S/PDIF digital audio cables sound the same..." until that too was proven wrong. Now, the front has shifted again. Is digital sound really just 0s and 1s? We don't believe so, and once you have the chance to hear the Forest USB, you won't think so either...
