Just yesterday I received the game for my new "Switch OLED", I unwrapped it, put it in the device, but because I was tired and sleepy, I put it to try it out at first, to see how it is...
I can tell you that I didn't even start playing it due to my tiredness and sleepiness from my work, but the game has some colors... Some graphics... something else...
I'm sure I will enjoy it more than when I played it on the "Nintendo 3DS XL".
I don't know if I will manage to finish it at some point, but even if I don't manage to finish it due to the difficulty of the game... as soon as I leave it aside for a while, a few months and I miss it, I am sure, that I will play it again, as if it is the first time...
It's worth buying it with 1000, even though its price is high, and that alone disappoints me...
But never mind, because you think:
"I bought the game to keep it, as well as the device, and not to sell them someday"

* At least I made sure that all the games for the "Switch OLED" are written on the game card, the "EUR" (Europe), meaning that the "Switch OLED" device only accepts European games (EUR), and not for example American (USA), if I ever want to order a game from abroad cheaper than in Greece...

UPDATE: March 1, 2024
After 3.5 months since I bought it, I started playing it, hoping to finish it...
What am I realizing so far?
Each level has the following levels:
1-1, 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 1-5, "1-6 BOSS"
2-1, 2-2, 2-3, 2-4, 2-5, "2-6 BOSS"
etc...
At the end of the 2-6 BOSS level, with the Boss, it is so difficult to beat him, as you can't imagine.
Finally, after many really attempts, I managed to beat him, but after many repetitions of attempts...
I lost my mind, I wanted to break the game. I don't know why NINTENDO makes the challenges so difficult for each Boss at the end of each level... Come on...

Now I have reached the end of the game, at 6-1, and I notice that this level from 6-1 to 6-6 BOSS, is the most difficult you will face, as if the game was designed for Scientists, and not for a simple player Gamer.
I imagine that the Final Boss of the 6-6 level will be the most torturous thing... We will see when I get there.
Otherwise, the game is very nice, you can't get enough of it...

If at some point of the game, a level annoys you, don't take it out on the game, or on the Nintendo Switch. Just leave it aside, relax, rest, and continue with New Hopes, later...
Because in some levels that I couldn't beat, I almost broke the game card on the floor, because I couldn't beat the Boss in the Last level of the 2-6 BOSS.
As a fan of the donkey kong series, I can't give this game any less stars for what I experienced. Very enjoyable, beautiful, fun, and challenging for those who seek it.
For me, one of the best 2D DK games (maybe the second best after the amazing donkey kong country 2 on the SNES).
I consider it a title that you must have in your collection.
The game is amazing. It captivates both young and old from the first moment. Although I consider the price of 50€ to be steep, I give it 5 stars because it has incredible graphics and its story relaxes you. I haven't finished it yet, but I think it will take me a while to get bored of it

20 years after the first time I played a game from the same franchise, I can say that I am completely satisfied! The difficulty level is higher compared to the older Donkey Kong Country games (or maybe I just grew up). It's a very good game with great music, perfect for relaxing. Unbelievable level design for a platformer, better than the most recent 2D Mario games. To fully enjoy the greatness of the game, don't leave it at the first playthrough, try to unlock the hidden tracks and aim for 100% completion. Equip yourself with patience because it involves a lot of trial and error and overall old-school difficulty.
An amazing 2D platform title that takes us back to the past with better graphics. It is challenging, beautiful, fun, and high-quality, but at the same time, it is also excessively expensive. If one considers what they can get with 50 euros on other consoles, they will understand that it is not worth the money it asks for. I bought it, played it, enjoyed it, liked it, and would buy it again out of nostalgia, as I am a gamer from the 90s and because I want my children to grow up with such games.

Big nonsense has nothing to do with Donkeykong64! It definitely isn't worth 50 euros, it's just like a run game that you can download for free on your mobile
If you are looking for a good 2D platform game, you must definitely try the gem from Retro Studios. Luckily, they made it a little easier than the Wii U version for us to enjoy. Excellent work, I highly recommend it.

I was looking for a good platform game and I had bought MARIO ODYSSEY. I was not satisfied, technically it was perfect but it leaned more towards exploration than a platform game. Then I decided to play Donkey Kong. I am thrilled, it's a classic platform game with challenges and trials, the gameplay is addictive and it runs at 60 fps on the Switch!!! It's fantastic!!! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to play a good platform game and more.
I had never played donkey before, especially lately. Very good and fun, I am on the third level and it started to get difficult. Maybe I will switch to the funky mode, which is easier. I had to start from the beginning for the Franky mode. It's worth the money, I bought it for 51, and it will be even more valuable if it goes below 40!
I finished it, it's worth buying for those who didn't have it on the Wii, very powerful and on the tablet, but it looks super on a good TV. I was losing lives constantly, but you can easily buy more.
