Average range, I have paired it with a perimeter radar and it works perfectly. It notifies on the remote control both on the alarm and on the first warning stage. The downside is that the remote constantly notifies even on warn stage until you press a button on the remote. This can be annoying especially if it is set to give warn away very easily.
