  Aki (the famous one) had shown a trick to secure the chicken upright on top of a beer can. I wanted to avoid it because we are afraid of the chemicals that the exterior and interior of the can may have (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fxiK0fzvS8). So I got this kitchen gadget. For its price, it's great. It locks quite securely and doesn't wobble, and it can be disassembled relatively easily. It can be washed and stored in its box to save space. Note that it's not very big and the tray won't catch ALL the drippings, so I recommend putting it all in a roasting pan or baking dish. The downside is that the even cooking technique generally requires a convection oven, so if you don't have one, it's very likely that the upright chicken will "burn" on the top, especially if it's in a roasting pan. For an oven without convection, I would recommend laying the chicken flat on the baking dish and flipping it halfway through cooking
