Toners that fall under the Lexmark Return Program are printing toners sold at a reduced price, in exchange for the customer agreeing that the cartridges will be used only once and returned only to Lexmark for remanufacturing or recycling. These single-use toners stop functioning when they reach the end of their designated life span, as determined by Lexmark (there may be a variable amount of toner remaining in the toners when replacement is required).
