I bought this specific plate on 23-10-21 for use on a gas stove. Having had a very good experience with cast iron cookware (I have a frying pan and another plate), I decided to get one for my country house. When I went to heat it up after about 5 minutes on the fire, I heard a loud noise and the plate cracked. After consulting with the store, I sent it back for their supplier to inspect. The response was negative, they refused to cover it under warranty, saying it was my own fault.

  I have placed the plate on top of the grates on my grill and it cooks evenly and nicely... It is well-made and the only thing it needs is proper care and cleaning like all cast iron products.

  Perhaps the best move I made in years after many grilling sessions on charcoal BBQ grates. Here I should note that on my BBQ I have an iron base where I can place it so that it has charcoal underneath. Even grilling, it heats up quickly, has two sides, a flat one for burgers, vegetables, or other preparations, and a ribbed one for steaks or fish. It cleans very easily and has a fairly large grilling surface. It was worth its money.
