There is a form of art that has sparked widespread controversy and expressions of aversion: Heavy metal. A musical offshoot of rock music, it represents a minority of "fans" whose temperament does not align with stereotypical normality.

The book-album "Global Noise" deals with 50 significant topics (as many as the years of heavy metal, which is about to complete half a century of existence), that have marked this music and -by extension- culture and society. The topics vary: Murders, extreme behaviors and musical expressions, religious bands, unimaginable records!

This book does not aim to rewrite the history of heavy metal. It attempts, through critical documentation of events/elements, to show how this music managed to survive, evolve, and influence almost every aspect of the global community.

The original designs of the book have been created using the dot drawing method - all done by hand and then digitally processed.
