The SanDisk Ultra Fit USB Flash Drive has a compact design, so you can plug it in and forget about it, making it easy to add extra storage space. Spend less time waiting and more time doing with transfer speeds of up to 400MB/s.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
I have the same company's 8GB stick, I don't consider it a very quality construction. I use it to store songs and play them in the car almost daily. After 5-6 years on a trip of about 3 hours, around the 1-hour mark, it starts to heat up and has frequent interruptions about every 3-5 minutes. It's as if it disconnects and reconnects by itself because my radio shows reading. It's cheap, it did its job, but now I need to buy another one. I have a Verbatim for the past 2-3 years and it hasn't caused me any problems, so I will probably prefer Verbatim again
Very fast in data transfer, but... very plastic... not quality construction. Expensive for so much plastic.
Really very low speeds 13-20mb transfer from ssd to this and from this to ssd 12mb, when with Sandisk Extreme on the same computer and the same ssd drive I see 140-150mb average. I DO NOT recommend it at all. Very bad purchase.
The flash drive is unbeatable. The fact that it is plastic is a downside, but if you don't take it out too often, it's just fine
4/5 because in the Alpine source in the car, it shows "no device found" first for 5-10 seconds before finally recognizing it. (it doesn't do this with other USBs)
Perfect very small just barely visible from the radio door I put video and copying is done very quickly
Nice, elegant, and useful. It requires attention in its management as it is a small device and can easily get lost
If the point that goes into the PC was metallic, I would say it is excellent. However, it is plastic, which implies durability and operating temperature
I wanted to increase the storage space on my laptop with something that would be permanently connected to it, but my laptop didn't have an SD card slot. The only other solution was this USB stick. It protrudes from the laptop by 8 millimeters!!
I have this stick in 2 versions: one with 128GB from 2018 for file/multimedia transfer and one with 256GB from 2019 loaded with FLAC/HiRes files for the car audio system. The loading speed of these files from a PC is satisfactorily fast. As for the reading time, it is instantaneous. Due to its small size and minimal protrusion from the port, it is an excellent solution for large storage space on laptops, cars, and PCs. However, be careful with three things: 1) It heats up during operation, sometimes quite a lot. However, its performance is not affected. 2) Do not compress it or treat it carelessly because it is made of plastic, even the USB connector. 3) It is so small that it can be easily lost. I highly recommend it because it is by far the most convenient stick I have used, and I am a fan of SanDisk because everything I have purchased from them works perfectly even after years of use.
Very satisfied. Fast and reliable, I recommend it. Also, very practical, small in size, discreet, fits everywhere.
Problem with the temperature.
I transferred songs through the laptop (the truth is very quickly) but when the transfer was finished, the USB stick was literally burning.
In the car, playing it raised quite a bit of temperature again, but (fortunately) I didn't have a problem with playback.
Maybe it's because the entire construction is made of plastic and there is no metal (the part that goes into the USB port) to work as a cooler.
I was a bit disappointed by Sandisk.
I expected it to be more high-quality.
Extremely beautiful and discreet... I got it for the car so that it doesn't stand out and it is indeed almost invisible... decent in speed... it does warm up a bit during recording... entirely made of plastic, so it's not for rough handling... but for the car, it's the best! The photo is related to MP3 recording
Excellent choice. I bought it for my car's sound system as it is very compact. I have been using it for about 20 days and it seems to be excellent!
I have it for 2 years, from the first moment I noticed the issue of overheating that others mention:
When it reads or just sits on the door, it is warm enough to bother you to touch it, but not dangerous. The problem is with writing, you can't even touch it! Sometimes it heats up so much that it disconnects, or the files cannot be read afterwards. You're afraid it might damage the door, I use it with a USB extension cable so it doesn't burn it.
The only use I see is for songs in the car (read-only), where it is warm but not burning.
I have various Sandisk products, this is the only one from the company that gave me such an issue.
In terms of durability, it's nothing special, the plastic (usually the cables and other USB sticks are metallic) on the top of the USB broke after a while, but it doesn't affect the functionality.
Don't recommend getting it, there are better options from this company and others.
If it was metallic, it would be super.
It is more than fine for the music of my car, which fit them all...
Its construction is not the most sturdy and I'm not sure how well it withstands continuous connections/disconnections. In a test of transferring various file sizes, the speeds were about the same as those mentioned by SanDisk, while its temperature was quite high. Its size is extremely small, almost invisible, and in my opinion, it is suitable for specific uses.
I chose it because of its small size and I use it in the car for music without regularly transferring it. It works perfectly without raising temperatures, without freezing, disconnections, or other malfunctions for three months now.
Good brand, very good value for money
I got it for the car mainly for music. I preferred it because of its very small size, so it doesn't stick out and get hit, and you can really plug it in and it disappears. If someone carries it with them, they will probably lose it easily. Otherwise, good capacity at a fair price, connected without any problem, got an upgrade, loaded my files and everything is fine.
For what I want, it's fine
Very user-friendly and quite fast. Particularly useful in car players, due to its small size you avoid damaging the input due to carelessness. Because it doesn't protrude, it's difficult for someone to accidentally hit it.
Very economical and it shows. Very light and plain plastic, you think it will break every time you hold it. For the windows installation media I wanted, it's fine.
I haven't had it for a long time, I just bought it actually, but after transferring files, I went to remove it from my computer and it was really HOT!
In a test I conducted, the speed is as promised by Sandisk, 130mb/s read (see photo), and transferring 5GB (5,377,482,804 bytes) of music files from Samsung 860EVO took 7 minutes and 58 seconds to complete (not exactly fast).
Lastly, it is very small... About the size of a 0.20€ coin (twenty cent coin). For those who plan to transfer and connect/disconnect it to/from devices, it will be somewhat difficult, especially if you don't have easy access to the USB ports of the device. For me, who bought it to listen to music in the car and don't plan to transfer it frequently, its size makes it discreet, which is a positive thing.
I will come back in the future to talk about its temperature after using it in the car, although I don't think it will be better. For now, for the 5.60€ I paid and its 5-year warranty, it's fine, value for money.
Durable and high-quality, but I expected it to be faster. However, it works great for the job I need it for. I would prefer it to have a lid.
It's all plastic, I don't know how much wear and tear it can withstand over time.
Very good minimal design. It starts recording at super speed and then after a while it drops to 1/4 of the initial speed. It also heats up a lot during use.
Generally good, specifically I have noticed that when it stays connected and heats up, the vertical file copying speed decreases.
edit: After months of light usage, now its speed does not exceed 20 MB/s.
A very small and high-quality USB stick for every use, especially to have it permanently attached somewhere.
For €8.50, the 16GB I got is vfm*. It has good read speeds but with a significant drawback, the write speeds are low according to the test I conducted. For those who noticed the *, it is because I will use it to format Windows 10 x64 and x86 (currently 1909) on various PCs with all the essential programs.
It works perfectly fine in the car for a month now. I would like it to have a little LED and a more sturdy construction, as you feel that one wrong move will break it into pieces. Its speed is just okay for the price and size. I just wanted a very small stick for the car and it fully satisfies me for now.
