I bought one and as soon as I put it on as the manual said for the first use, it emitted smoke like a smoke bomb (not just the usual smoke from initial use) and it tripped the main circuit breaker! Because the store where I ordered it online has issues with household exchanges, I decided to try it again (after unplugging sensitive electronics, etc.) and even though it didn't trip the circuit breaker this time, it continued to emit smoke. And the same thing happened on the third and fourth try.
I arranged for an exchange and the second one arrived. I put it to the test, and it emitted smoke and the smell of burnt electronics as I expected. I left it for 5 minutes and it continued. Even after 10 more minutes, it smelled like a recycling plant. I took it out, let it cool down, cleaned the plates as the manual instructed, and tried it again. The same thing happened with the smells for another 10+ minutes (I was using a fan to keep the air clear and I have a baby). And the same thing happened on the third and fourth try. The price is quite good compared to what it offers and we can consider it as value for money. So, let's briefly and without many words talk about what it offers. Although it doesn't take up much space, which means it is easily stored (due to its vertical position), when fully opened it gives you a large surface of 48x32 where you can cook a considerable amount of food. There are 3 positions to adjust the cooking position, the temperature of which is achieved with the thermostat located next to the handle. The quality of the thermostat seems a bit low to me, but we will see in the future. The plates are non-stick and removable and can be washed without any problem in the dishwasher. Regarding the cooking now... It takes a little while to get started, but when it does, the 2100W give it their all and it cooks evenly and "crispy". In conclusion, I only have positive things to say. As a complaint, the rather "fake" thermostat, as well as the lack of an ON-OFF button, which would make it easier to not constantly plug and unplug it. Tip 1: When you first start it, don't be afraid of the "smell" that the mechanism will emit... It is normal since the internal consumables are "burning". Tip 2: For more cleanliness, when cooking, first put non-stick paper. It is much better!!!

Six regular portions (6 sandwiches) and with almost daily use, it performs fantastically. It makes crispy tsoureki, bread. It warms up pitas (we didn't try baking, just warming up pieces of pita). It was worth its money. We toast the sandwiches with the toaster set at 3 and they are ready in 3 minutes! You don't have to wait for it to heat up to place the sandwiches or the desired food. It is very easy to clean with just a cloth, but the plates for deep cleaning also come out easily and can be repositioned just as easily. It is sturdy and big. Heavy and tested strong (we have it on a high shelf and sometimes because it is heavy, it slips from us, resulting in it hitting the counter, the kitchen with more force than we would like!). It takes up space, but personally, I don't consider it a flaw. However, I have noticed since the beginning of its use that the bottom heating element works better than the top, meaning that whatever is placed on it is cooked better from the bottom, so most of the time I flip it to cook evenly. Personally, I would buy it again as it is a Greek product! Just as I recommend it to acquaintances and friends, I also recommend it to anyone looking for a good machine that doesn't break. In short, whoever buys it will be accompanied by it for many years.

We have 2 and we use them at work for sandwiches during breaks.
Initially, it takes too long to heat up. It definitely takes 10 minutes to say that you can put the toast in. After that, it actually cooks it in 2 minutes. It comfortably fits 4 sandwiches.
The plates are excellent, they cook evenly and are easy to clean if you don't put meat on them. Otherwise, it's a hassle to clean the grease underneath one plate.
The temperature control switch is truly useless and laughable. It broke in less than a month, spinning around like crazy, making it impossible to adjust anymore.
The indicator light it has is dim, you can't tell if it's working or not.
The first one, besides the temperature control that broke in 1 month, gave up in general after 1 year of normal use. The second one we are currently using is still holding up after 2-3 months, but we learned our lesson and never touch the temperature control.

Based on her previous toaster experience, I ended up choosing this one. Keeping the "German" one in mind, I will mention the following:
- It is slightly smaller (whether the bread for the toast is small or large, four slices will fit)
- It is difficult to lower the lid without the toast moving forward. You either have to hold it down with your hand (especially the top slices) or cook them without pressing them, by placing the top plate on the "hanger" that leaves a space between the plates of 5-6 centimeters.
- It takes some trial and error to find the ideal thermostat setting and cook the toast perfectly and relatively quickly. At low numbers... it doesn't, while at the highest setting, it burns the toast before the cheese melts.
- The plates are of very good quality, they are easily removable and easy to clean. However, because it doesn't have good liquid drainage, it needs cleaning every now and then, including the space under the bottom plate.
- Meat cooks very well and easily thanks to the non-stick plates.Overall, it is a good toaster - grill, depending on the price. Reading reviews on Scroutz for other products at a similar price, I believe it is a fair purchase. Choose it for the removable non-stick plates and compromise with its minor flaws. However, if the plates and cooking speed are not the main criteria for your purchase, it is better to wait for the relevant offer from the supermarket chain.
