Byzantium is a world full of noise, movement, wonders, mysteries, songs, celebrations, riches, battles, stories. A world full of colors. Red, like the purple of its emperors. Gold, like the backgrounds of the mosaics in its churches. Black, like the robes of its monks. White, like the unknown lands beyond its borders. Blue like its sea and like the dresses of its noblewomen. Green like the crops in its vast spring fields. But not only that. Byzantium does NOT have only six colors. WHITE has the sure stories. Those that know the truth. Those that are innocent, but not as much as they seem. White stops wars, even if only for a moment – without caring that they will surely start again. White has pearls, good clouds, good dreams. It has the worlds outside the maps and the maps outside the worlds. White understands and loves. White is so beautiful that it becomes wise – and so wise that it becomes beautiful. White is my favorite because it believes in stories that have not yet been written. And it makes room for them to be written.
