I received it this morning and in the afternoon I tried it on the windshield of my 2005 model car. At first, I cleaned the windshield well with azax, then I cleaned it with clay by spraying water for lubrication, and then I used isopropyl alcohol to clean what was left. I applied the paste by hand using a Meguiars sponge and wiped it with a microfiber cloth. Without much pressure and without knowing the product, the result was excellent. I imagine that if I apply it with a random orbital polisher, the results will be better, but even by hand, it did a great job. It is important to do proper preparation and to use good towels, preferably those specifically for car windows. They have some cost, but they help significantly compared to others!
Good and branded product; however, for maximum results, it requires either a polisher or a sponge that is applied to a drill. Time-consuming process, but the result is evident
It didn't remove the deep salts, and even if I tried with my hand, it only cleans the surface just okay, and actually very well. Then I tried with a rotary polisher for the deep salts, I tried a lot with several applications, but it didn't have the desired result. Let me also tell you that even though I had a random orbital polisher, it left small scratches without me pressing it
The best possibly to restore the windows to their original condition. Always use a polisher and then after using clay, it removed the pitting that had been created by the drops and made the windows hydrophobic for a long time. With a hard polisher sponge and persistence, it also removes the streaks from the windshield wiper. For newer windows, it helps with thorough cleaning with a simple hand rubbing.
I had 2 stains like droplets that had run, 1 on the passenger window and 1 on the rear window. They didn't come out with vinegar or viakal. I bought the cream and applied it twice. The first time they didn't come out with light to moderate pressure. The second time, I thought I would apply strong pressure and whatever happens, well, they disappeared but I think that from the excessive pressure I made some lines on the 1 window.
It is very powerful, some salts that were visible in the light from the windshield were removed with moderate rubbing on a sponge by hand. But the reason I bought it was because I had a serious problem with the driver's window, which was completely fogged and scratched, probably from the wiper. There, with very strong rubbing and 2 hands, it made it look like new! It's worth every penny, it did the job for me.
I will disagree with the many positive reviews. The product indeed removed 90% of the salts and 95+% with a second pass, in normal amounts of stains (4-year-old windows). However, it is messy and I did not expect that. It dries almost instantly (less than 30 seconds in shade, summer 30 degrees Celsius and cold glass) and if it dries, it requires a lot of rubbing to remove, while also producing "dust" during the rubbing, like some waxes for painting. Therefore, where you have washed the car, cleaned the windows, it is not ideal. Some suggest using a drill and give it 5 stars! If I have to use a drill, it means that the product has already failed in my opinion. I also use a fine cutting compound if necessary. Taking into account the high price compared to what it will remove 4-7 times (I believe), I would not buy it again, I would probably try another company or the handmade IPA (isopropyl alcohol) solution that some YouTuber detailers recommend.
I bought the car and the windows were like that, I tried various things but they wouldn't come off at all. I bought the cream and rubbed them with a special sponge with a drill, it didn't do anything at all. The photo is after using the cream, maybe it's for lighter use and prevention. In the end, I managed to remove them with a scratch remover and a lot of rubbing.
Although I didn't have a particular issue with my car windows because I polish them once a year with body polish, I can say that this cream does the same job. It cleans the stuck-on salt, marks from dirt and hard water, and removes the residue left by the wipers. It doesn't remove scratches (light or heavy). It leaves behind a considerable amount of haze, so you will need many microfiber cloths and, in the end, a damp cloth that cleans only the windows.
Something from me as well. Like most of us, I struggled with various materials such as vinegar, baking soda, etc. that didn't really do anything. This product helped me almost 100%. It's amazing as long as you use it with a drill brush. I couldn't achieve much with my hand. Of course, I had a very difficult case. It cleaned 20-year-old windows and made them look new in a relatively short time. You clean the window, apply the cream with the drill, and wipe it off with a cloth. If needed, like in my case, I did a second round. Oh, and one more thing. It's not for scratches, it doesn't do much for them. That's it. I hope I helped.
I had resin residues on my windshield that looked like spots. I tried everything from pure alcohol to whatever else was suggested. As soon as I wiped it with the sponge and then with a second wipe, nothing was left! It's worth every last euro.
After many products and tutorials on YouTube, Meguiar's saved me once again. Don't hesitate to spend the money because as always, you get what you pay for. The difference in the photo between clean and dirty says it all. With two "hands" and a little rubbing, you'll be able to remove even the toughest dirt.
Having tried, as another user said, viakal vinegar and various other cleaning products, I had decided that it was impossible to clean my own glass. I had a problem with the passenger's window in a new car, which had water streaks all along its length. As soon as I received this product, I tried to rub the glass with a sponge from the same company to see if there would be a difference. Unfortunately, I didn't see anything and I was disappointed. Then I ordered the sponges that attach to a drill and act as a polisher. After a lot of rubbing and after finishing two batteries, the glass was perfectly clean. I couldn't believe it. So, based on the result, along with a polisher, even the most stubborn stains on the glass will be cleaned.
There are really no words for this product! Having a serious problem with all the windows of my car, and of course, having tried all the obvious materials (vinegar, vinegar soaked in paper towel, viakal, etc., products against salt, clay), I turned to professionals.
I went to 2 windshield shops which said that nothing could be done and that only replacement would solve the issue.
I took it for polishing and asked them to also apply the cream on the windows. The guy there told me it would clean.
I went to pick it up the next day and it was questionable if there was even a 10% improvement, which I highly doubt.
After all this, I decide to at least change the windshield, which is very annoying while driving, especially at night with the glare from the lights on the salt.
So I found this cream and bought it as a last attempt, believing that I would just be wasting more money.
I try a little on a loose edge with a paper towel and with enough rubbing, I see it cleaning like magic. I try it next to it because I didn't believe it, and it cleans there too.
I went and bought a glass polishing sponge for a drill and started gradually doing all the windows. They all cleaned and there is not a trace left of marks and salt.
Very satisfied with the result, I hope to help some people who have the same issue as me and have been bothered by it for so long.
I really didn't expect it to do such a great job. It had salt stains all over the windshield and it made them all disappear. Very easy to use. There is also a video from Meguiar's.
You clean, apply with an applicator pad, rinse with a microfiber cloth and you're done. It has enough liquid inside for many applications.
Definitely worth the 20€.
In a car that I bought used, there were some "stains" on the rear windows that wouldn't come off with vinegar, viakal, scrubbing, nothing.
I thought I would waste 16 euros because I didn't expect them to come off at all. And yet, with a first pass using an applicator pad, 85-90% of them disappeared.
With a second pass (total of 15 minutes), every trace of the stains vanished. Unbelievable product.
I also cleaned the windows of my old car that never get properly cleaned with regular cleaners since over the years they have accumulated various dirt. I put on new wipers and tried it. No stains, no noise, no scraping. They simply glided on the glass.
I didn't see any traces from the cleaners due to the dirt they rub on the windshield easily disappear - at least by hand.
Guys, I bought a used car and it had some marks that couldn't be removed with vinegar, or with bleach, or with the organic cleaner I used. Today, I bought the cream and I was amazed. Amazing... well done. 1000 stars
Because I had some stubborn stains on my windshield, I did the cleaning with a polish applicator without much pressure. And it shined, all the stains disappeared. Good product if you use Meguiar's Perfect Clarity Glass Sealand afterwards.
